TASK 2: Position Trace your left and right hands onto paper and label them. Draw an object in relation to your hand. E.g. draw a blue square UNDER you left hand, draw a sun ON TOP OF your right hand. Draw a flower beside your hand.

TASK 2: 2D shapes Complete the Find and Colour matching shapes worksheet. Colour the shapes that match on each line. See the attached page.

TASK 2: Length Use Lego or blocks to make a very tall tower and a very short tower. How tall can you make your tower before it falls down?

TASK 2: Length Compare heights of family members using words such as taller than, shorter than, tallest, shortest. Eg. Dad is tallest. I am shortest. Dad is taller than mum. Write a sentence about how tall or short you are.

TASK 2: Mass Find and draw 5 objects in your house that you think are heavier than you. Find and draw 5 objects in your house that you think are lighter than you. Ask an adult for help if you are not sure. Label the pictures and send a photo to your teacher.

AFTERNOON SCIENCE Choose your favourite farm animal. Draw a picture of the animal and write a simple sentence about it. Eg. The cow is black and white. It eats grass. Can you label your animal?

PDHPE Search Koo Koo Kangaroo on YouTube. Practice at least 3 different dances. Make up a dance of your own to your favourite song. Get mum or dad to video it and send it to your teacher.

SCIENCE Fold a piece of paper in half. On one side draw a picture of a living thing and on the other side draw a picture of a non-living thing. Search around your house for examples of living/non-living things to help you. Example: Living: a plant, a pet, a family member Non-Living: Television, toaster, microwave, pair of shoes.

PDHPE Things that make me happy. What makes you happy? Have a think and talk about your ideas with a grown-up. Make a list of at least five things that make you happy. If you can, make a short video and send it your class teacher.

Phonics Activities Notes for Parent/Carer: Each day students will focus on a different sound (this will be provided to them via seesaw)

• Say the sound • Write the sound • Brainstorm words that have the sound at the beginning • Write some simple words that include the sound (provided via seesaw) • Draw some picture of things that start with the sound.

Each day the teacher will share the sound of the day and some simple words that include the sound via seesaw;

• Ensure that students are writing their sounds using the correct formation

• Write the sound 10-15 times. Practice, practice, practice

• Ask the student: can you think of any words that start with this sound? Eg. If learning the sound ch = chimp, cheetah, cheese (student can draw some of these)

• When writing simple words say the word slowly and ask the student to identify the sounds they hear. EG. If you are learning the ch sound and the word is chop it has 3 sounds ch….o…..p (these words will be provided by the teacher via seesaw)

Sight Words Notes for Parent/Carer: • Students practice reading their sight words to a parent/carer. • Students make their sight words using letter cards, playdough, pegs, pasta, rocks. • Students write their sight words on paper, in sand, in the dirt, using chalk, using a paint brush and water. • Once a week, test students sight word knowledge buy asking student to read sight word cards. Work on unknown words the following week.

• Show students the sight word card and ask them to read you the word. If students do not know the word tell them and get them to say it 3 times. • Make sure that students are looking at the word when they read it to you. • Change the order of the cards each day. • Only add in 2-4 new sight words each week. • Use some of the new sight words in writing activities.
