In 1988 he earned his Bachelors of Arts from Emerson college and began his portfolio of nude installation art Tunick, since 1994, has done more than 65 installation in 15 countries and has been arrested 5 times. After 5 arrest in New York City Tunick filed a federal civil rights law suit against the city to protect himself and participants from future arrest. May 2000 Tunick won and the courts determined that he was protected under the First Ammendment. Despite the courts ruling he was denied a New York City permit for a photo shoot. Since then he has not made a group work in the streets of new york in over 10 years.
