TRANSCRIPT
“He is before all things and in Him all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the church … so that in everything He might have the supremacy.” (Colossians
1:17)
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under
heaven given to man by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
I believe in God. I believe in Jesus … and Buddha and Mohammed and
all those who were enlightened.
(Sheryl Crow)
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which
depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world
rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.” (Colossians 2:8-9)
The insistence that doctrines do not matter is really a doctrine
itself.
(Tim Keller, The Reason for God)
Original Tolerance = Accept existence of different views
Distorted Tolerance = Accept different views
When Christ is removed from the center, when the capstone is
rejected (Acts 3:11), when the Creator is banned from helping
the created, everything collapses.
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and
on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;
all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things
hold together. And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that
in everything He might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all
His fullness dwell in Him.” (Colossians 1:15-19)
