FROM THE
WELCOME
Blacktown City FC (BCFC) welcomes its members, supporters, families and players
to our home ground Lily’s Homes Stadium for today’s 6th round match against Parramatta FC.
First Grade have made a strong start to the season with 4 wins and a draw. Mark Crittenden set the team a target for the first 5 games of 13 points and the boys have certainly delivered on that. The team is hoping to keep their winning streak alive against another tough opponent.
During the week, we also made a solid start in our WFFA Cup campaign by defeating a strong Sutherland Shire Association Premier League team, Kirrawee Kangaroos 6-0.
The club would like to thank Bingo Bins & Bendigo Bank who have recently renewed their sponsorship for the season.
For our Round 8 match on the 29th April we will be holding a special ALL GIRLS event. This first-time Community Engagement Program event will be held in the second corporate box from 6.15pm-9.00pm.
There will be a entry fee of $20 for each Mother & Daughter attending and sandwiches and soft drink will be on offer. If you’re interested please contact us at the office on 9674 5763 or [email protected] for further information.
Also as part of the Community Engagement Program this week the Under 20’s & Under 18’s players and parents will be attending the RAAF Richmond. The BCFC staff will be putting on a coaching session for the service personnel and then everyone will be involved in a 5 v 5 battle on the sports grounds within the base.
Best of luck to our Youth teams who are playing against Wollongong Wolves FC this weekend and also our SAP teams who are playing against Parramatta FC next weekend.
Finally, we wish all our teams the best of luck this weekend and hope you have a safe and happy Easter.
Kind Regards Chris Michael Business Development & Marketing Manager Blacktown City Football Club

FIRST GRADE
The culture of success continues at Lily’s Football Centre with Blacktown City FC
proving its doubters with a winning start to the season.
While the loss of a number of key players in the offseason has changed the way City does things, Mark Crittenden’s reigning PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s champions have been able to find a way to win.
This week they take on a resilient and hard working Parramatta FC team known for frustrating opposition sides out of the match with their robust and determined defence.
Led by central defenders Tomislav Mijic and Ibrahim Haydar, Parramatta will be a tough team to break down on Saturday night.
Joey Gibbs and Mitch Mallia will have their work cut out for them but the passionate home ground support could be enough to get Blacktown City over the line.

Sydney FC 0 - Blacktown City FC 1 at Lambert Park
Blacktown City has maintained their unbeaten start to the 2017 Playstation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition with a 1-0 win over Sydney FC at Lambert Park.
The match appeared headed towards a scoreless draw before Joey Gibbs broke the deadlock with a match winning header in the 87th minute.
The prolific strikers late goal gave the visitors a deserved win over a resilient Sydney FC side.
Parramatta FC 1 - Manly United FC 3 at Melita Stadium
Manly United FC continued their unbeaten run to start the season with a 3-1 PlayStation 4 National Premier League NSW Men’s victory against Parramatta FC at Melita Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
A first half goal from Scott Balderson along with second half strikes from Dejan Pandurevic and Brendan Cholakian was the difference as Manly secured all three points.
Daniel Rezo found the back of the net for Parramatta but it wasn’t enough for the home side to build on their draw against Sydney Olympic last round.

Blacktown City snatched a 1-0 win away to Sydney FC at Lambert Park last Saturday
to stay fifth on the ladder, level with their opponents and Sydney United 58 on nine points, though with the advantage of a game in hand. Three points against Parramatta FC in their round six match on Saturday afternoon could take Blacktown City as high as second, depending on other results, and they will fancy their chances of extending their winning streak to three games against a visiting side sitting ninth after a 2-2 draw with Manly United last weekend. Parramatta started the season poorly, losing their first two games, but have since recovered to take four points from their last two matches, and will be confident that they can produce at a ground which saw a 1-1 draw when these sides met in 2016.
