RECTANGULAR WATER TANK
The KPIC range of polyethylene storage tanks are manufactured in compliance to interna-tional standards using only the highest quali-ty materials, however improper handling and installation can cause damage to the tanks and their fittings.Warranty may be void if there is a failure on handling & installation of the tanks.To avoid problems , guidelines are provided for the customers compliance for delivery, handling & installation.
Delivery and Handling
Upon delivery, it is the customer’s responsi-bility ity to safely unload the tank from the delivery vehicle. Unless agreed prior to de-livery, the standard delivery vehicles do not have the facilities to unload your tank.
Delivery is completed once the customer has thoroughly inspected the item without any defect. if any defect was found on the item , customer should immediately report the case for the company to resolve the problem in quickest possible way.
The tank should be unloaded onto a smooth, flat surface that is free from rocks and other sharp objects that could cause damage. extra attention must be given to damage caused by fork lift truck blades. It is highly recommend-ed that a mobile lifting equipment (crane, forklift truck, etc.) is used to lift large tanks from the lorry.
When your tank is being unloaded, moved or in-stalled, damage to tank fittings must be avoided. Do not allow the weight of the tank to rest on any of the fittings and do not roll the tank over any of its fittings.
Installation
It is very important that tanks are installed on a smooth, firm surface that can fully support the weight of the tank. In most all situations a rein-forced concrete base is the best solution. Even when a tank stand is used, the stand must be mounted on a solid base.
Consider the location of the installation and be sure that there is enough room to carry out any maintenance activities. Polyethylene tanks may contract or expand due to temperature chang-es, atmospheric conditions and the nature of the contents.
Work activities that will take place in the vicinity must be taken into consideration precaution any measure to avoid accidental contact with the tank. failure may be a result of impact especially in cold conditions.

of machinery or equipment. Do not mount items like this on top of the tank or on its fittings.If human access is necessary, great care should be taken to avoid asphyxiation by inhaling of hazardous vapor and fumes.
Tank Use
The tanks should only be used for what it was pur-pose for designed. Do not apply contents under pressure or create a vacuum unless the tank is spe-cifically rated.
Make sure that the materials stored in the tank are appropriate for the properties of the tank, fittings, gaskets and accessories.
