Finding the Right Mason

Choosing the right mason along with the right natural stone essential

to any successful project. Key factors you should look for are experi-

ence and skills. A Mason lays stone with his/her craftsmanship but with

your vision in mind . These three photos are showing the SAME Sea-

shore Ledgestone installed 3 different ways with 3 different mortar

colors. You can see that it changes the overall look completely. We

always advise a mock-up of stone to be completed. This way you can

see masonry skills and your stone selection.

Ashlar Veneer is a dressed rectangle of stone for facing walls . It is comprised of a whole range of finishes .

Generally Ashlar sizes range from 2” up to 12” in Height but they can be much larger for custom cut projects with

paneling.

Ledgestone Veneer is either a sawn top and

bottom in 2-4” heights or natural ledge from 2-6”

Heights forming a lineal look.

Mosaic Veneer and Cobblestones are irregular in

shape and generally range from 4” Diameter to

12”.

Estate Collection’s Veneers are signature blends of KGO Stone’s sandstone, limestone, quartzite and granite. Each blend is

different and unique to itself. If you are having a hard time finding the right blend, just ask us and we can easily customize

a blend that is unique to you.
