CEO Report

It has been an intense start to the 2012 NEAFL season for everyone at the club. Some could describe it as a baptism of fire with 21 new players to the senior list, a new Coach and a new CEO. Football Operations With high expectations from the spoils of 2011, early travel commitments have really tested the playing group and coaching staff to quickly adapt to football on the road. With 63% of the squad being 23 years of age or under and having played 39 players (of the 49 listed) up until round 5, NT Thunder sit 4th on the ladder with 3 wins and 2 losses heading into a block buster game against the Sydney Swans Reserves at TIO Stadium. Community Engagement Off the field, NT Thunder's community engagement activities are certainly in full swing with a number of successful events like: • The Amart All Sports Membership Launch • McDonald’s Super Clinic in Alice Springs, • Chamber of Commerce Business at Sunsets • McMahon Services Michael Long ‘Long Kick’ Competition & Round 1 Fire Works display • Community Library Visits and • Yeperenye Shopping Centre Visit

Sponsorship Sponsorship numbers continue to grow with 57 individual sponsors committing to the club in 2012 compared to 53 in 2011. The club continues to develop corporate relationships that achieve both business objectives whilst mutually benefiting the community. Memberships NT Thunder memberships are also tracking well with 945 members proud to wear the Thunder colours in 2012 combined with 462 affiliate ‘Cracka’ Club memberships. Although there are many positives to the start of the season, there’s still a long way to go!! Jarred Ilett Chief Executive Officer Northern Territory Football Club
