Second law of thermodynamics (brief introduction).

Introduction of entropy as a state function. Gibb’s energy change for spontaneous and non-

spontaneous processes, criteria for equilibrium.

Equilibrium in physical and chemical processes, dynamic nature of equilibrium, law of mass action,
