The website. Kerrang!'s website is committed to giving out more information to the readers to do with the magazine and also the latest information on the current bands and upcoming events. There are 11 sections to the website which makes it easy for the readers to navigate themselves around:

• “Home” – as stated in the title, this is the homepage. Used to introduce you to the website and to highlight the key stories.

• “News” – This section is basically a sum up of the latest and most important news to do with the bands that Kerrang supports and follows and other important news that Kerrang readers may be interested in.

• “Access all areas” – Dedicated section to the new interviews, albums/tracks/EPs, tours, videos and other features.

• “Swag” – a place where you can find different competitions where you could win prizes, or if you’re in a band you could potentially win yourself a slot at a festival/gig.

• “Podcast” – Podcasts with interviews and funny videos of different bands and musicians.

• “K! Magazine” – This is where you can see what is included in the latest issue of Kerrang! magazine. You can see the articles included and the freebies that you could get if you buy the issue. It also allows you to see past issues which is useful to the readers who may have missed an issue.

• “Tickets” – this section helps you to find the up coming concerts and shows you a trustworthy website where you can buy your tickets.

• “Shop” – from here you can find and order band merchandise such as t-shirts and jumpers. This is good as a lot of readers are likely to be of a younger generation, this generation enjoys having a collection of all their favourite bands’ t-shirts.

• “Subscribe” – a section devoted to advertising and selling subscriptions of the magazine.

• “Bands” – this is an essential guide to their opinion of the greatest rock bands in the world. Which is useful for those who are just starting to become interested in this particular genre of music or even music altogether.

Facebook and Twitter.FACEBOOK:

Their Facebook account is used as another way to give a fast update of news on music and bands. It is also used to help sell music related items (e.g. headphones, in the picture on the right). It also allows their fans to write on their wall and have discussions with other fans of the page.

They update with various pictures and videos that can be viewed by everyone and helps you to get into that genre of music.

It also has a “Likes” section where you can find pages to other magazines, branches of Kerrang or bands that are similar to Kerrang.

There is a small section near the top which also shows you who out of your friends also like this page.

TWITTER:Their Twitter page essentially does the same thing as their Facebook page in terms of updating their followers with new information. However it also allows people who work within Kerrang to tag them and write something new about their section such as a new podcast or interview. It also means that other people can also tag Kerrang and talk about them. This then links to the “tracked tag” section of Twitter which means that followers of the tags can see everything that has fallen under the Kerrang tag.

Kerrang! TV and radio. In 2000 Kerrang! started up their radio statio and in 2001 launched their very own channel. The radio has a number of specific programmes devoted to the subgenres of rock music. The radio output also includes interviews with those affecting society and popular culture and not just those that are involved with music. The radio station of course plays music exactly linked with the music covered in the magazine, which is also shown on the TV channel.

The channel shows not only the more mainstream side of rock but also the classics that the older viewers are more likely to be interested. It gives you a more interactive version of the radio as you get to watch the interviews and music videos which makes it more inclusive.

Kerrang TV is now a joint venture between Bauer Media Group and Channel 4.

Another interesting form of social media they have reached is Spotify in which they upload the CDs that the Kerrang! brand has created, which means people can enjoy playlists of the music that has been suggested to them.
