The Ken Guy name is synonymous with excellence in
real estate on the Sunshine Coast.
Years of local experience has allowed us to build
systems and success rates that are unparalleled,
yet we still operate in a boutique office environment
with an understated family-business feel.
The winning Ken Guy formula is comprised of a
few key elements:
a commitment to local knowledge,
experienced sales staff,
a strong industry work ethic,
powerful marketing tools,
excellent behind-the-scenes
support networks.
Did you know …
The very first Ken Guy Real Estate office opened its
doors in 1983, in Ocean Street, Maroochydore, where
Ken operated for a few years before moving to the
iconic site on the corner of The Esplanade and First
Avenue. Now there are Ken Guy offices strategically
located from Noosa to Caloundra, making it the
largest privately owned agency on the Sunshine
Coast.
William Street, Guy Avenue and Wilguy Crescent
in Buderim are well-known streets named after the
Guy family. William Henry Guy arrived in
Queensland from England in 1869 and soon after
joined a group of surveyors sent to survey
Buderim. He fell in love with the area, became
one of the first to secure land on top of the
mountain. With £11/15 he purchased 80 acres
and built a slab home for his new bride in Tulip Lane.
In 1891 he built a larger homestead from pit-sawn
beech and cedar and lived there with his wife and
five children until he died in 1936, aged 96. The
homestead is still in Guy Avenue, owned by the
fifth generation of the Guy family.
