NOTES FROM
THE DIRECTORWelcome to the wacky world of the Cleveland Opera and our production of Lend Me a Tenor. I first had the pleasure of directing this show about 25 years ago right here at Keyano Theatre. Although I had been a guest director for Keyano Theatre Company several times before, it marked my first official show that I worked on in my new role as the Artistic Director here. At that time I had a dream cast which featured the talents of many Keyano Theatre Company veterans including Yvonne Balletto, Mike Singleton, Chris Bullough and Kathy Parris Landry (to name just a few). They were all so hilarious that they brought the house down. Fast forward to today and lucky me -I have another dream cast whom I know will bring the house down again. I believe this is one of the most well-written, crafted farces in contemporary theatre and it has been a pure delight to breathe fresh air into this beauty with such an amazing cast and creative team. Much thanks to them all. So sit back, relax and get ready for a whole lot of fun. And …”Hey, it’s-a nice to be back!”
