Create an interactive album for desktop use that includes band bio, songs/track listing, and lyrics (or comparable content).

Revolution was recorded in two sessions of a week or less

Revolution won the Album of the Year award at the Academy of Country Music Awards and at the Country Music Association Awards in 2010.

Miranda says,“I mean every word I say in every lyric of every song on this record, and every re-cord I’ve ever done. I would never take back one word or lyric or point I’ve ever made, because it’s part of who I am. And there are plenty of artists who wouldn’t do so much of that, if that’s the kind of music you’re into. But if you’re into honesty, I have the records for you,” she laughs.

She wrote the album from her perspective as a 25 year old, it’s who she is, and it’s pretty honest.

There is a measure of romantic contentedness in some of Revolution’s songs, like “Love Song,” or even opening track, “Only Prettier.”

USER 1There were no real issues User 1 had. He suggested a smoother transition from preview of photo to full image.

USER 2User 2 suggested having a color change, or some type of indicator when clicking/hovering over the player buttons. Currently nothing happens.

USER 3User 3 enjoyed their experience, but wished you could play a specific track from the track list instead of having to click the next button so many times to get to a certain song. She did like how you could listen to one song while viewing multiple lyrics however.

ANALYSIS

MIRANDA LAMBERT REVOLUTION INTERACTIVE ALBUMI really enjoyed the entire process of creating the interactive album. From research, to wireframing, designing, and coding, they all played intricate parts in the creation of the final piece. Of my Miranda Lambert Revolution interactive album, I find that the simplicity of the design is the most successful part. It’s clean, easy, and self explanatory. I chose to go with a more media-based bio of photos rather than words, and for someone who is a fan of Miranda, looking for a richer experience, each photo tells a story about important parts of her life; words aren’t needed. If I were to do it over, I would make for more interesting transitions, and make it more of an interesting shape rather than a square. At the start of the Interaction-Based Design Overview course, I knew very little about Adobe Flash. My skills have come a long way, and have become my base of many new designs. The creation of this design was my first real interactive piece, and with that being said, I will push my skills a little further in the future.
