Dear Resident,

Earlier this year I announced on behalf of the Government thatOur Lady's Secondary School in Templemore is to be completelyrefurbished and extended. The school is to receive a multimillioneuro allocation.

The announcement followed on from several meetings betweenrepresentatives of the school and myself. On Thursday May 30the Principal of the school Patricia Higgins, Seamus Burke, theChairman of the Board of Management John Lynagh and I metMinister for Education Ruairi Quinn TD. This was a very successfulmeeting leading up to the announcement.

I was delighted to have delivered this massive project for thetown of Templemore and surrounds. Our Lady's Templemore is afantastic school with brilliant staff. This project will also bringwith it local employment and revenue to the town

I look forward to the completion of this excellent project.

Yours sincerely

Alan Kelly TDMinister for Public Transport & Commuter Affairs

“On 5 June this year, the thirteen years of planning, campaigningand lobbying by Our Lady’s, got a final push over the line whenMinister Ruairi Quinn announced that the project would go totender and construction.
