Grade 3 students visited the Audubon and did imaginative writing and drawing.
They also made nature collages inspired by the author Eric Carle. While outside
they explored nature trails which included sculptures made out of found materials
Students in Miss Gushue’s 3rd grade were using the CUBE strategy in math (Circle,
Box, Underline, and Explain) to write multiplication stories.
Kindergarten students in Mrs. Eagles class had a visit from Lt. Brodney (Lyla's dad) to talk about being a firefighter, life at the fire station, and fire safety. They were able to wish him Happy Veteran's Day!
It is estimated that about 30.3 million people in the United States alone have diabetes. 23.1 are
diagnosed and 7.2 are undiagnosed.
Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 is World Diabetes Day. World Diabetes Day is a day to help promote
diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. The campaign is represented by a blue circle logo which
is the global symbol of diabetes awareness. It signifies the unity of the global diabetes community in
response to the diabetes epidemic.
On Tuesday, November 14th, please wear blue to help support and promote, care, prevention and a
cure worldwide for diabetes.
We will be continuing with our tradition of Flannel Friday. Students are
encouraged to join the staff in sporting their Flannel on Fridays!!
