keeping up with the joneses - july 2104

July 2014 Dear Family and Friends, Jesus claimed to be the light of the world, the Son and messenger of God, and Savior of the world. The Pharisees challenged His claims but the people saw His evidence and believed on Him. Still today some challenge the truth of the claims of Christ, but as His Word continues to reach around the world, many more are putting their faith in Him. We are now His light to the world…let’s shine brightly wherever we go. This month Mobile Units are on the road in many places both at home and abroad. Please pray for the gospel to be seen and heard and for many to trust Christ as Savior. On June 18, we closed on the Florida property and continue to rejoice in His blessings!! We will now be examining our funds and evaluating the updated costs of the 1st Phase of our new building here in Prattville to determine what additional funds will be needed to begin construction. I hope to have this info in the upcoming FOCUS in a couple of weeks. Stephen, Joe McDonald, and I had a blessed and fruitful week in Colombia with our ministry partner. Many children and some adults came to Christ as a result of the VBS each morning and evening movies in the park. Thanks again for your prayers and support. We will give a more detailed report in the Focus of our experiences. Jennifer had a terrible accident while barrel racing on her horse and broke her right leg. Both bones were broken, and required surgery, which will result in a very lengthy recovery period. Please keep her in your prayers while she is out of work. We began this month with our annual 3day Jones family reunion. Now we’re back home for FOCUS publishing, letters, and mobile meetings. Birthdays this month are for David (28 yrs.) & Cricket (29 yrs.). We feel very blessed to be able to serve the Lord as we do, but also know it would not happen without each of you. Thank you again for investing in this ministry through us. In His service together, Mike & AnnaMae and family Stephen writing here! I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone who supported me and blessed me with the privilege of taking a missions trip to Colombia. I had a great time serving there. The people were so loving and it was a great experience that really showed me once again how important it is to reach the lost for the Lord! Thank you all for your generous gifts and prayers!
