3STEP-BY-STEP APPLICATION PROCESS

(1) The CRP partner professor should fill out KEEP-I CRP application form.

(2) The CRP student submits the KEEP-I CRP application form as a part of his/her regular KAIST graduate application package.

(3) The CRP student should indicate the CRP professor as recommender during the KAIST application. The CRP professor will be asked to submit a letter of recommendation, electronically.

(4) The regular KAIST graduate admission are open 3 times a year.

(5) Once the admission decisions are made, School of EE sends an email notification to both advisors at KAIST EE and CRP partners on the admission results.

4KEEP-I CRP APPLICATION FORM

Please write down five professors you wish to collaborate with in the order of preference.

We strongly recommend you to get in touch with the partner professors before submitting the form to increase the chance of matching.

5REQUIREMENTS FOR KAIST ADMISSION

Regular KAIST Application Package

• Application form

• Statement of financial resources

• Two recommendation letters (electronical submission)

• Certified copy of degree/diploma and transcripts

• Certified copy of English Proficiency Test (EPT)

TOEFL iBT 83 (PBT 560, CBT 220), IELTS 6.5, TEPS 599, TOEIC 720 or higher

The English requirement is waived for students from the institutions where courses are taught in English. Check on KAIST webpage for detail.

• Curriculum Vitae (free style)

• Copy of identity documents

• Family relation certificate (for ethnically Koreans only)

• Optional documents

List of honors and awards

Employment certificate

For CRP students, one is from CRP professor

For CRP students, submit KEEP-I CRP Application Form as optional document

KAIST admission requires two letters of recommendation to be

submitted electronically.

CRP partners should submit one of these 2 recommendation letters.

KAIST receives recommendation letters electronically. Once you complete the

application by paying the application fee, each recommender will receive an

automated email instructing how to proceed with their

recommendation online. Please complete your application as early as possible so

that your recommenders can have enough time to complete the letter.

KAIST accepts students 3 times a year

• Spring semester: mid. August

• Fall semester: December & April

• Online application: Dec. 8 – Dec. 31, 2020

- You can apply later, too: April 2021 for 2021 Fall

• Document arrival deadline: Jan. 6, 2020

• Document check period: Dec. 14 – Jan. 8, 2021

• Application review: Jan. 18 – Feb. 26, 2021

• Admission notification: March 5, 2021

• Start a semester at KAIST on Aug 30th, 2022
