COMPLETING THE SHOW TAG

TITLE OF WORK should not detract from the image…don’t be too obscure, sentimental, or ridiculous…if you don’t have a title, name it Untitled #1, Untitled#2, and so forth. Sale Price - Should not be too expensive! If the work of art is not for sale write NFS (Not For Sale), don’t just dramatically overprice it. Price is dictated by size, media type, hours of labor and cost of materials. An average matted & framed 6”x 9” photographic print may be anywhere from $75 - $125 while a large-scale detailed charcoal drawing may be as much as $125 – $400. Size of work – always list the size of print, not the size of the frame. Vertical dimension is listed first. Hence a 9”x6” would be a vertically presented print. What MEDIUM is your work? Medium is not always the same as Media Category as these categories may contain more than one type of medium.

Gelatin Silver Print is a black and white darkroom photographic silver print Inkjet Print is a b/w or color print made from an inkjet digital printer Pigmented Inkjet Print is a b/w or color print made from an archival inkjet printer (like the printers in D-102) Charcoal Drawing is a drawing made with charcoal
