task : To design a tea packaging.
I decided to name my tea ‘QueenTea’. I felt like it had a nice ring to it and I could be fairly creative. I wanted not only for it to have a unique logo but also an icon that
will be recognisable to them. I designed a crown that was made out of tea leaves. I thought this was effective and still kept it looking fresh.
I chose Berry, Tropical and Green Tea for my flavours. I wanted each flavour to pop out of the shelf so the consumer doesn’t need to read each box, just look for our
tea and then the corrosponding colour for the tea flavour they were after. I chose green for Green Tea, Pink for Berry Tea and orange for Tropical Tea.
I designed the logo so the colour could easily be chaned with different opacities, so that the entire packaging for each flavour had a flowing theme throughout.
For the background I chose an image that represented each flavour. Put a transparent colour on top so that it was just different shades of say green. I thought this
was effective, it kept the packaging interesting and by making the background a softer tone, made sure it didn’t over power the text.
The material that the tea will be inside will be a thin tin. It can be re-used for something around the house with the label easily taken off or recycled.
