A new program offering $5 tickets to young people aged 12
to 18 for many of Kay Meek Centre’s presentations.
This special offer of $11 tickets is designed to reach out to
the next age group: young adults aged 19 to 37.

Centre and our business community.

Amplifier 2010: Programming for Youth, by Youth
38 individuals registered 15 ‘acts’
2524 votes were cast to choose the
‘finalists’ who performed live in the Studio
Theatre.
7 performances were chosen providing
opportunities to 14 individuals to be heard
in front of their peers.
Nine original pieces were performed out
of a total of 25.
Amplifier 2010: Programming for Youth, by Youth
Amplifier was presented in collaboration
with the Ambleside Youth Centre and
Melanie Clark (District of West Vancouver
Youth Program Coordinator).
Amplifier was Kay Meek Centre’s
contribution to Youth Week.
The Amnesty Club (WVSS) raised funds
through concession sales.
Kid’s Help Phone service received $400
through ticket sales.
