KAWA KABUYA COOPERATIVE’S KATANDA WASHINGSTATION WINS THE DRC TASTE OF HARVEST 2020!!!
AFCA is excited to announce the winner of the DRC Taste of Harvest Competition held at the AFCA Coffee Institute in Kampala from 23-26 January 2020. The competition followed the Cupping Form and Protocols of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) Specialty Arabica Coffees, to identify and select the absolute best coffees from DRC in 2020. Samples were submitted by coffee producers, cooperatives, millers and exporters in DRC to be cupped, graded and judged by a panel of qualified and experienced international and local judges.
Kawa Kabuya Cooperative wins the Democratic Republic of Congo National Taste of Harvest Competition with an Arabica Bourbon, Fully Washed scoring 86.45 points from the Katanda Washing Station in North Kivu.
