STUDIO POLICIES Attendance: Now that show time is quickly approaching, it is very important to make
attendance a high priority. Students will be learning a lot of new dance and gym material in
the next two months and it is easy to fall behind. We know that there are times that absenc-
es cannot be helped, but please try to attend classes regularly. Charting will begin very
soon.
Tuition Due Date: Tuition is always due the first class of the month. A 10% late fee will
be applied to all tuition on the 16th. If you would like to set up credit card automatic pay-
ment, please stop at the office and someone can help you. We need a new authorization
form each year. There are no deductions or credits for missed classes. Withdrawals must
be made before the first class of the each month or you will be billed for the entire month.
Observation: We will be having parent observation the last week of April. Dates for
visitation are Monday, April 24th through Saturday , April 29th. Parents are welcome to
sit and observe the class. Please remember you are in a learning environment and we must
keep noise to a minimum.
Website: Please check the website regularly. We will try to keep all new forms and papers
updated on the website for you.
2017 DANCE SHOW NEWS— ”MARY POPPINS”
ATTENTION ALL LINE DANCERS: There is a mandatory $50.00 assessment to all
line dancers to help defray the cost of Powers Auditorium. This can be generated through
any fundraisers (such as Raffle tickets, Gorant’s candy, Dance-a-thon) or paid directly to the
office. Each line family is also responsible for one ad in the dance program to defray the
cost of the pictures in the program. Those families not submitting an ad will have a picture
fee assessment of $30.00.
AD FORM: Attached to this newsletter you will find an ad form for the 2017 Dance Show
program. We are asking for your assistance in soliciting ads. Personal ads may also be
placed. Please remember it is mandatory for all Dance Line members to solicit one ad for
the program. Your help is great appreciated.
COSTUME DEPOSITS: The costume deposits for “Mary Poppins” are now past due.
After April 30th a late fee of $5.00 per costume will be added to your account and this fee
will NOT be applied to your balance. No costumes can be made or ordered without a depos-
it. Please also remember, all balances on your account, must be zero to pick up
your costumes. (This includes all tuition, costume charges, and any other
charges on accounts).
RAFFLE TICKETS: We will be drawing the dance show raffle winners all month. Check
the bulletin board behind the count to see who is winning!!
“MARY POPPINS” TICKET SALES: Tickets for “Mary Poppins” will go on sale in a
different manner this year. Members of dance lines will have ticket sales on Tues-
day, May 9th. You may come and sign in, but you must stay here until your
name is called. The following are start times for various groups:
Graduating Seniors 11:30 a.m. Company/Senior Line 12:00 noon
Pre-Senior Line 1:00 p.m.
Teen/Junior Line 1:45 p.m. On Wednesday, May 10th we will have ticket sales for all other classes. Tickets sales will begin at 11:00 a.m. You may come and sign in but you must stay here until your name is called. It is not fair to come in and sign at 7:00 a.m. and then leave. After ticket sale day, tickets will the be available during office hours, Monday-Wednesday
11:00 a.m.—8:00 p.m., Thursday 11:00 a.m.– 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.
Ticket prices are $19.00 pre-sale and $21.00 at the door the nights of the show. Tickets are
assigned seating so please know how many seats you need for each night’s performance.

START OF THE SALE. IF YOU CAN NOT BE PRESENT, PLEASE HAVE SOME-

GYM SHOW NEWS
SUMMER/FALL REGISTRATION
SUMMER REGISTRATION—Please return your summer registration forms as
soon as possible. Any scheduling information you can give us at this time will help
us in creating the summer schedule. Dance and gymnastics classes will begin on
Monday, June 19th.
FALL REGISTRATION—Remember to register for fall classes before July 15th to
avoid an increase in the registration fee. Returning students registration fee is
$15.00 if paid by July 15th. After July 15th, registration is $20.00. Registration for
all new students is $20.00.
Mark Goodman
Mark Goodman will be at the studio for tap workshops on April 24 & 25, 2017. These classes
are mandatory for all tap line members. Please mark these dates and times on your calendar
now. Company tappers will be learning their choreography for the dance show at this time as
well. Cost for the workshop is $150.00 for company tappers (includes choreo, company and
senior tap classes) and $20.00 for an hour class and $25.00 for each 1 1/2 hour class.

DANCE WORKSHOP
The Gym Show packet should be going out shortly. That packet will have a detailed rehearsal schedule, a pic-
ture schedule and more detailed information pertaining to the Gym Show.
GYM SHOW PICTURES—Gym show pictures will be taken here at the studio on another date instead of
being at rehearsals this year. The photographer is unable to get away that weekend because of a prior yearly
commitment.
GYM SHOW ADS—Ad forms are due by April 22nd. You may place a personal ad or solicit a business ad if
you would like. Competitive team members are required to submit one ad to the program to defray the cost of
pictures. If you do not submit one ad, you will be charged a $30.00 picture fee.
TICKETS—Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, April 26th. This year seats will once again be assigned. Cost
of tickets is $14.00. Kindercise students will receive a ticket to be seated with their parents after their perfor-
mance. Tickets will go on sale at the following times on Wednesday, April 26th:
USAG Xcel Gold/Platinum Comp. Team Members 11:30 a.m.
NEOGL Level 3 and Xcel Silver/Gold Team Members 12:00 noon
All Open Gym, Kcise, Pre-Team 1:00 p.m.
After this initial ticket sale day, tickets will be available to purchase Monday—Thursday 4:30—8:00 p.m. and
Saturday 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.

Ohio Dance Masters Convention in Cleveland
We had a small group of girls attend the ODM Convention in Cleveland the weekend of
March 24-26. These girls are all junior members of Ohio Dance Masters and while there,
they had a fun, educational, productive, and very successful weekend. The girls attending
the convention were: Jillian Gady, Teegan Graff, Hunter Lombard, Macy Metzger, Bri-
anna Phillips, Taylor Sackella, Caitlin Slattery, Alyssa Swank, and Morgan Wardle. Three
of the girls competed solos in the performing arts competition. Three girls also went
through scholarship auditions while they were there, and one being interviewed for a col-
lege scholarship.
Jillian Gady, Teegan Graff and Alyssa Swank participated in the scholarship audition clas-
ses and did well. Alyssa received 1st place in the four phase scholarship audition classes
in the her age division and received a $175.00 cash scholarship. Jillian Gady won 2nd
place in jazz in her age division and won a $30.00 cash scholarship. Teegan Graff was
awarded 4th place in modern in her age division.
Alyssa Swank was also awarded the Bettine Winch Ballet Intensive Workshop Scholarship
which she will be attending this summer at the DMA National Convention in New Orle-
ans, Louisiana.
Morgan Wardle won a $500 college scholarship after submitting an application, video of
an individual piece of choreography, and going through an interview. Her hard work is
paying off.
During the performing arts competition the girls received these awards:
Alyssa Swank’s Contemporary solo ~ Platinum and 2nd overall in her division
Alyssa Swank’s Modern solo ~ Platinum and 1st overall in her division
Morgan Wardle’s jazz solo ~ High Gold
Jillian Gady’s lyrical solo ~ High Gold

KALAHARI—LUAU IN LEOS MEET
USA Xcel Gold and Platinum gymnasts competed at the Kalaha-
ri Luau in Leos Meet on March 11th. This meet consisted of
teams from across the US and Canada. There were over 3,500
gymnasts competing. The platinum team finished 2nd. Sophia
Neddy led the way with 1st place on floor, beam and all-around.
Lauren Gates got 1st on beam also and 3rd all-around. Adrian-
na Candella placed 1st on bars and 2nd all-around. Olivia Cmil
won vault. Congratulations platinums on the great accomplish-
ment. The golds placed 8th as a team. Individuals placing in
the top 3 were: Abigail Catlos, 2nd on bars, 3rd on floor; Zoe
Simon, 3rd on floor; Jordan Gady, 1st on vault; Graciella Ebert,
3rd on beam, 2nd on floor. Keep up the hard work girls. Good Luck at State!!!!!
NEOGL/USAG TEAMS COMPETE AT MARKOWSKI INVITATIONAL
This year on March 4th and 5th all of our competitive team levels competed at the Markowski Invita-
tional at Great Lakes Gymnastics. It was so exciting to watch all the girls and we are so proud of eve-
ryone that competed! Our level 3s had a great meet and we are excited to see them improving. They
placed 5th as a team with Alivia Shetler placing 1st all around. Keep up the good work girls. Our sil-
vers placed 3rd as a team, with Avery Jakubovic placing 3rd all-around and Brooke Debucci placing
1st! Next, our xcel golds competed with our USAG golds and they all did a fantastic job! Placing 2nd
as a team, we couldn’t be more proud. Congrats to Abigail Catlos and Cali Matey for placing 1st, Jor-
dan Gady for placing 2nd, and Graciella Ebert for placing 3rd. Great work ladies! Finally our plati-
nums took 1st as a team with Sophia Neddy placing 1st all around with a score of 37.050!! Great
meet girls!
NEOGL MEET AT JOHNSONS
Our final meet for March was on March 19th at Johnsons Gymnastics. Our xcel silvers and golds
competed along with our level 3s. We would like to recognize levels 3s Allison Beagle for placing 1st,
Alivia Shetler for placing 2nd, and Julia Clark for finishing 3rd. Great meet and your routines are
looking better girls. Keep up the hard work! Our silvers and golds had a great meet as well and we
want to congratulate all the girls that competed. Silvers Korey Kennedy and Brianne Campbell both
took 1st all-around, with Hallie Joyce and Ryley Prior taking 2nd and Avery Jakubovic placed 3rd!
Awesome work! Also we would like to recognize xcel golds Ayla Thompson for placing 1st and Ariana
Smiley for placing 3rd! We are so excited to see you finish your season strong. Keep up the hard
work everyone!
TEAM BANQUET
We will be sending home information regarding the banquet soon. We have requested Tuesday, May
23rd at the Georgetown. Watch your mailboxes.
TEAM CLINIC
The competitive team will once again be holding a clinic this summer, the week of July 17—21. This
clinic is a week of more intense workouts where the girls can learn a lot of new tricks. We do mix in
some fun as well. They are normally taught an upbeat dance during the clinic and on Friday, the sec-
ond half of the day is filled with a fun activity to let the girls relax and have fun as a team. In the past
we have taking them swimming, bowling, or to the movies. A sign up will come home with the girls.
KENT STATE GYMNASTICS CAMP
This summer Kent State University will once again be offering two sessions of gymnastics camps for
gymnasts of all levels 3—elite, ages 8 through 18. If you are interested, please go online to
www.kentstategymnasticscamps.com. These camps fill up very quickly, REGISTER EARLY!! Session
1 is June 18—21 and is $550 for resident/$450 for commuter. Session 2 is June 25— June 28 and is
the same price.
