Utility, wit and playful sophistication are the

hallmarks of kate spade new york. as our world expands, our graceful, exuberant approach to

the everyday is evident in every category we

enter, from handbags and clothing to jewelry,

shoes, stationery, glasses, baby,

fragrance and home.

think of kate spade and think of mules, cocktails, cinch

waists, and ice cream colors. as we discovers the designer

and her husband have built an empire on wit, whimsy, and

practicality. kate may not do the "theme" collections, but there is an

overarching theme to the brand. carefully and subtly orchestrated, it imbues everything the spades do. the spade look is not retro exactly, but it is definitely evocative of a now-vanquished suburban america - that's the thing - her designs strike a familiar chord in us all. anyone who ever wore pappagallo flats (as kate did in high school) will recognize the floppy leather flower on this season's slingbacks. still, for all the references, the designs, like her own look, somehow remain modern. likewise, says kate, the wicker bags "are nostalgic, but i don't want them to look like they came from a vintage store, because then they might as well have." in her hands they're cleaner, newer - and they're selling like crazy. kate inspires the same confidence and prompts the same aspirations as martha stewart did, but with none of the bossiness and a lot more humor. she's not stern; she's someone you think you might like to have as a best friend.

LIVE COLORFULLY

she remained unbowed by the whims of high fashion. "i carried straw totes, even in the winter," she says, at a time when most of manhattan was menacing in black, she wore lots of color. "i love, love, love green," she tells me now, adding that she has always treated it as a neutral. deep pinks were among her other early signatures - one of her favorite purses is a peony-pink boarskin "quinn," now considered a kate spade classic, and her wedding line features raspberry satin shoes along with the traditional white.

The Kate Spade Spring/Summer 2011 handbags inspired by the vibrating atmosphere of the '80s fuel our style ambition to promote some of the unique yet eerie accessories Precise and feminine detailing meets the punked-up color palette which creates the perfect fusion to offer these accessories a front row position in our closet. Pull off a no messing outfit that would make you rise above the mass and flaunt the real you that isn't afraid of the intrigued and surprised glimpses. More challenge your friends and admirers to get a profound insight into the world of unlimited chromatic options. Kate Spade for the spring 2011 collection succeeded in lining up a multitude of handbags drenched in attitude from the stylish pink colored classy bags to the New York Times clutch which is one of the promising designs that would definitely catch the eye of accessory junkies thanks to its minimalist and still uber-creative allure.

In spite of the blinding effect of the multitude of neon tinted handbags the designers behind the Kate Spade brand managed to rule out the chance of a kitschy collection that would've been righteously scrutinized by the fashion pack. Instead all they deserve is a deep bow as well as standing ovation for testing our ability to cope with the speed of light evolution of style tendencies. These handbags will steal the show when embedded both in grown up monochromatic outfits as well as similarly bold and bright apparels.

The eponymous new Kate Spade line flirt with our sentiment for cheery candy-colored accessories.

Overseen by creative director Deborah Lloyd, The spring '11 lookbook can be best described as what Audrey Hepburn might wear while romping around

with a rainbow. Lloyd's masterful design avoids looking too kitschy, pairing punchy red, pink, and

neon lime with neutral shades and modernized classic shapes. Accessories include color-blocked straw hats,

chanel-esque tweed garden purses and pineapple-themed clutches. Some of our faves include the delicate neon sandals, and the chiclet inspired

necklace that begs to be worn on our spring vacation to the Maldives. Delish times ten!
