Kaskad to Install a New Filling Line and Launch Handy PET Bottles to

the Market

PET Technologies in cooperation with packing equipment plant Thermo-Pack have

installed a complete filling line at the bottling company Kaskad situated on the

charming Berezina River bank, Belarus.

This project is unique due to several reasons. On the one hand, it is about changeover

time and cost reduction; on the other hand we refer to the original PET bottles,

witnesses of the European sightseeing closely connected with the Byelorussian history.

How could it happen?

Not long ago Kaskad plant installed a new soft drinks filling line for 0.5 – 1.5 l PET

bottles with the output 6000 bph provided by PET Technologies and Thermo-Pack. It is

worth to highlight that the solution permits to run PET bottles with similar volumes and

different designs without any changeover. In other words, it is not necessary to stop

the line to fill into 0.8 l after 0.75 l bottle or into 0.5 l PET bottles with various

decorations. The customer needs 2 changeover kits instead of 4.

PET Technologies R&D department designed 5 bottle formats with original designs: 2 types of 0.5 l bottles, 0.75 l, 0.8 l and 1.5 l. We developed them according to

the contracts Kaskad had concluded with the local retail networks to meet each customer’s needs.

Talking about Kaskad we can’t but mention that its water Berezinskaya, bottled directly from the well 287 m deep, was the first Byelorussian reality travel-show

“Autobus” official partner. It helped the program participants to quench their thirst while competing in the city of strudel and Strauss Vienna, enjoying romantic

environment of Lake Maggiore in Italy and of course running through Padua arcade streets to find Bo Palace.

Why is this destination so important for the participants? The answer is simple: Francysk Skaryna, a Belorussian humanist and one of the first book printers in

Eastern Europe studied there at the end of the 16th century. Bo Palace, a historical seat of University of Padua, still cherishes his memory. The show participants’

task in this city was to find his fresco first and take a picture with it.

To sum up, synthesis PET Technologies and Kaskad experience, common values and approaches led to successful collaboration between the companies with over

16 years of experience in the industry each.
