Pupil Free Days We have two Pupil Free days this term, next Wednesday 2

nd December staff will meet in their 2021

teams. The day will be dedicated to planning the curriculum for next year. It is important that we use current student data from this year to ensure our planning meets the needs of the students.

Our last day of school for this year will be Thursday 17th December, with students being dismissed

at 3.30 p.m.

Friday 18th December is a Pupil Free Day, this day will provide staff time to audit and move

resources as we have several year levels who will be located in different rooms next year. We are still in the planning stages for 2021, class lists are completed however staff have not been allocated to their teaching responsibility. This information will be shared in coming weeks.

We have planned two Transition sessions in the final week of the term, when students will be placed into their class for 2021.

Coming events

School Disco With four weeks of school to go we have some great activities for the students. It is

disappointing that we are unable to have our annual Disco, however our Student Council have been very actively working with Ms Moyle to organise a Disco Day. In preparation for the day Student Council surveyed the students to determine their favourite songs. Ms Moyle has downloaded the music ready for every year level to enjoy their allocated dance time during the day.

Year 6 Economics Expo The Expo was postponed due to the heavy rain, the Learning Common 6 has been ‘buzzing’

with excitement as the Year 6 students prepared their businesses. This unit of work is usually completed in Term 3, it is a credit to the students and Year 6 staff who have worked so diligently in a very tight time frame since we returned to onsite learning.

Year 5 Leadership Speeches The Year 5 students and their teachers have also worked within a tight timeline to prepare the

students for the 2021 Leadership roles. I look forward to listening to the students present their speeches next week.

Final Assembly The final assembly for the year will be in the morning on Thursday 17

th December. At this

assembly the 2021 School and Specialist Captains will be announced. This will also be an opportunity to present a student from each year level with the Citizenship award. At this stage we are unable to invite parents to this assembly.

Christmas Raffle It is exciting to be preparing for our annual Christmas Raffle, the large red stocking is in the

foyer waiting for donations. It will be a great way to finish the year with some fun, the students love the opportunity to win a prize. Please support our last fundraising event for the year by sending your donation to school.

Student Safety It is concerning that I am constantly reminding the school community to consider the safety of our students.

The Staff Carpark continues to be an unsafe area, due to the disrespectful parents who continue to drive through (often at great speed) and park their car when dropping off or collecting their children.
