On behalf of the Hosting Committee of the 2018 World Martial Arts Games, I Would like to welcome you to the wonderful City „Schwäbisch Gmünd“ in Germany. During the weekend of the 30th of August to 2nd of September 2018, competitors from all over the world will compete for the honour of becoming a World Martial Arts Games Champion. The event will be held under the Patronage of WMAC.

As a participant in the 12th Annual, World Martial Arts Games, you will be present amongst the top martial arts athletes from around the world, representing a multitude of disciplines with all following universal moral principles, helping to display and promote the true spirit of the martial Arts. With over 300 Divisions encompassing the disciplines of Extreme Martial Arts, Grappling, Karate, Kickboxing, Kung Fu, Sport Jiujutsu, MMA Light and others. There is something for everyone and many participants will compete in more than one event.

It will meet 500 - 1000 Martial Arts People of different age and nationality in East Württemberg, in Schwäbisch Gmünd, to realize the chance to become "World Martial Arts Games Champion". Get a part of this successful history and spend with us your time in this sporty highlight in 2018.

Liebe World Games Teilnehmer,

Im Auftrag des Veranstalters und dem Organisationsteam der World Martial Arts Games 2018, würde ich Sie gerne, in der wunderschönen Stadt Schwäbisch Gmünd begrüßen. Während des Wochenendes vom 30. August bis zum 2. September 2018 werden sich Athleten aus aller Welt hier in Deutschland messen um World Games Champion zu werden. Dieses Sport Ereignis wird unter der Schirmherrschaft des WMAC abgehalten.

Als Teilnehmer an den 12 World Martial Arts Games werden Sie unter Top Sportlern aus der ganzen Welt sein, die sich in den unterschiedlichsten Kampfsportdisziplinen messen und den wahren Geist des BUDO zeigen. In freundschaftlicher, kollegialer Atmosphäre das Miteinander zu zelebrieren. Mit mehr als 300 Klassen, in Disziplinen von Karate, Kickboxing, Kung-Fu, Sport Jiujutsu, MMA Light und vieles mehr, umfassen diese Spiele einen Großteil aller Martial Arts Bereiche. Es gibt für jeden eine oder mehrere Kategorien in der sich die Teilnehmer messen können.

Es werden 500 – 1000 Kampfsportler/Innen, verschiedenen Alters und Nationalitäten in Ostwürttemberg, in Schwäbisch Gmünd zusammen treffen, um die Chance zu verwirklichen “World Martial Arts Games Champion” zu werden. “Schwäbisch Gmünd” is a town in the east of Baden-Württemberg which lies about 50 km to the east of the capital of Stuttgart. She belongs to the region of East-Württemberg and to the peripheral zone of the European Metropolregion Stuttgart. She is according to inhabitant as well as according to surface the biggest town in the Remstal. Concerning the population size it is after Aalen the second largest town of the east mountain circle as well as the whole region Ostwürttemberg in which she forms a middle centre for her environs.

Since 1956 Schwäbisch Gmünd is an big capital town and since 1973 the seat of the regional association Ostwürttemberg. From 1805 to 1934 the town was called officially Gmünd, a name which is used in the local usage furthermore. The city name is derived from the confluence ("Gemünde") of many brooks with the Rems.

Schwäbisch Gmünd ist eine Stadt im Osten Baden-Württembergs, die etwa 50 km östlich der Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart liegt. Sie gehört zur Region Ostwürttemberg und zur Randzone der europäischen Metropolregion Stuttgart. Sie ist sowohl Einwohner- als auch Flächenmäßig die größte Stadt im Remstal. Hinsichtlich der Bevölkerungsgröße ist sie nach Aalen die zweitgrößte Stadt des Ostalbkreises sowie der gesamten Region Ostwürttemberg, in der sie ein Mittelzentrum für ihr Umland bildet. Seit 1956 ist Schwäbisch Gmünd Große Kreisstadt und seit 1973 der Sitz des Regionalverbandes Ostwürttemberg.

Von 1805 bis 1934 hieß die Stadt amtlich Gmünd, eine Bezeichnung, die im örtlichen Sprachgebrauch weiterhin verwendet wird. Der Name der Stadt leitet sich vom Zusammenfluss („Gemünde“) vieler Bäche mit der Rems ab.

Please read carefully the General Rules of WMAC and also the Rules book in your division. So you are informed about all Category Rules and also the Basic Information about our tournaments. Have a look on our homepage www.wmac-world.com and in our Facebook group World Martial Art Games - 2018.

When registering please write down your Category, Weight Class, Age and Rank. All uniforms and equipment must be acceptable under WMAC rules and guidelines.

All competitors must maintain themselves as appropriate Sports Ambassadors, and as such will be held to the highest level of personal integrity, honor and responsibility. Poor sportsmanship is a reason for exclusion from the event with no refund of fees.

In all categories should be 3 competitors. If it’s not – the Supervisor can take this category together with a higher weight class.

All rules will be in accordance with the WMAC rules and guidelines as published by the WMAC.

Bei der Anmeldung bitte schreiben Sie Ihre Kategorie, Gewicht, Klasse, Alter und Gürtel.

Alle Uniformen und Ausrüstung müssen unter WMAC Regeln und Richtlinien angeführt sein.

Alle Teilnehmer müssen sich selbst als geeignete Sport Botschafter, und auch als solche verhalten, um den höchsten Grad an persönlicher Integrität, Ehre und Verantwortung zu gewährleisten. Unsportliches Verhalten ist ein Grund für den Ausschluss von der Veranstaltung ohne Rückerstattung der Gebühren.

In allen Kategorien sollten 3 Starter sein. Der Supervisor kann eine Kategorie zusammen mit einer höheren Gewichtsklasse legen sofern weniger wie 3 Starter vorhanden sind.

Alle Regeln werden in Übereinstimmung mit den Regeln und Richtlinien wie von dem WMAC veröffentlicht vollzogen.

All competitors are advised to double check those events that they are entering to ensure that they are the correct divisions. All divisions will be organized before the day of the competition and cannot be changed.

Age for the competition will be determined by the Age of the competitor on 29st of September 2017. (Begin of the tournament)

Attention:

It is allowed to start from under belt to black belt

but it is not allowed to start from Black Belt in a under belt category.

It is also allowed to start in my weight Division and the next higher Division in the same category.

But it is NOT allowed to start in the 2nd higher weight division.

It is allowed to Start in different Categories under consideration of the rules

Alle Teilnehmer sind angewiesen selbst zu überprüfen ob ihre Gewichtsklasse und die Einteilung richtig vorgenommen wurde. Alle Listen werden am Vortag fertig gestellt und nach dem Coach-Meeting NICHT mehr verändert.

Das Alter bzw. die Altersklasse im Registrations Formular muss dem Alter zum Zeitpunkt des Eventbeginn entsprechen = Stichtag 30.8.3018

Es ist sehr wohl erlaubt als Farb-Gurt in einer Schwarzgurt Klasse teilzunehmen.

Es ist aber NICHT erlaubt als Schwarzgurt in einer Farbgurtklasse teilzunehmen.

Es ist ebenso erlaubt in meiner Gewichtsklasse zu starten und in der nächst höheren.
