Hays – R9 Ranch

Hays and Russell purchased Circle K (R9) ranch in 1994

R9 Ranch is currently authorized 7,727 AF for irrigation of 5,366 acres

Hays has proposed to convert the 7,727 AF to municipal use and transport it via pipeline 75 miles to the North

Will be the first use of the Water Transfer Act (K.S.A 82a-1501 et seq)

Index Well GMD5 has partnered with the Kansas

Geological Survey to install instrumentation into an existing observation well in Edwards County

On July 25, the pressure transducer and telemetry system were installed 3 miles North of Belpre

The data will be available soon on KGS and GMD5 websites
