Section 140:- Physical Verification, “ The officer-in-charge of the stores shall cause
to maintain the inventory for fixed assets, consumable goods and dead stock or
unserviceable items.
Head of the Department shall conduct the physical verification or fixed
assets, consumable goods and dead stock or unserceable items or cause it ot be
conduct through his subordinate officer (s) or through a committee constituted by
him, at least once in a year.”
Section 141:- Procedure for verification,” Physical verification shall always be
condected in the presence of the officer (s), responsible for the custody of the
inventory.
A Certificate of verification along with the finding shall be recorded in the
stock register by the officer (s) or committee conducting the physical verification.”
