Guest • a month agoThis is a huge shock and it makes me very sad. He delivered my first child 14 years ago and I always referred him toanybody and everybody. He always greeted me with a handshake and a smile; he sat back like he had all the time inthe world and was never in a hurry because he had a patient waiting in the next room. dollar sign, but as somebody important! He will definitely be missed.

Mark • a month agoDr. Douthit was scheduled to deliver our baby this week. We were very shocked and saddened when his officecalled to give us this news. As "Daddy to be", I was able to meet Dr. Douthit a number of times, and while I am not abig fan of the medical profession as a whole, I liked him. Sad deal. After telling people at work that we had gotten thecall before it was in the news, it was amazing how many people knew of and were very fond of Dr. Douthit. saddened by the lose, I was oddly happy to see how many people had positive stories to tell. the office knew of him and had only good things to say. That says something, as we can be a cynical bunch.Thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

Lisa Wolfe • a month agoSo very sad...Breaks my heart....Such a great Dr.™ He took me on as his patient 24 years ago after being diagnosedwith cervical cancer cells in the 4 th stage and I was 4 months pregnant...The other Dr's told me to abort or die, butnot Dr. D....He was beside me the whole way and delivered our daughter 5 weeks early, Healthy, encouraging me thewhole time...There aren't many Dr's out there that would do this for their patients... After my 6 week check up hecalled me personally and told me he couldn't find a stitch of cancer and cried with me, knowing thst God healed me!!God Bless his family...

first week he joined the Practice. Or maybe because he has delivered not only countless neices and nephews, butalso two of my precious grandchildren. He always had time for me and put up with my weird sense of humor. Helaughed and joked, yet he was also extremely compassionate and caring. We were the same age and he alwaysreminded me just how "young" I really am! I am heartbroken over his loss. My prayers go out to his family, friends, coworkers, and his patients. What a tragic loss!

The Watson Family • a month agoI am just devastated to have learned of the death of someone so dear to my heart. have my son James. He brought him into the world in 2010. And then only 7 months ago, he brought Ashley into the world. He helped build me back up emotionally after two miscarriages. Held my hand and looked into my eyes andsaid he would take good care of me as I fell asleep. His humor, his kindness, he made you feel like you were his onlypatient and not just another number. Dr. Douthit is a hero to so many families out there including mine. I will foreverremember him as I look into James and Ashley's eyes and see the beauty he brought into the world. Rest in peaceDr. Douthit. Shine down on all your babies from heaven. Watch over them all as you did in life.

I haf never met him but he came into my room to talk andIfelt more at ease with him than my own OB. He was wonderful at a very scary time for us. I had to have anemergency C-section 7 wks early and he made me feel almost calm about it. This is truly a sad loss.
