COURSE OVERVIEW Kaizen is a philosophy that focus- es on continuous improvement. When applied to the workplace, Kaizen activities continually im- prove all functions of a business, from operations to management. By improving standardised activi- ties and processes, Kaizen aims to eliminate waste. People at all levels of an organi- zation can participate in Kaizen. Typically a Kaizen team involves a small group in improving their own work environment and productivity. This philosophy differs from the “command-and-control” im- provement programs. Kaizen methodology includes mak- ing changes and monitoring results, then adjusting. Large-scale pre-planning and extensive project scheduling are replaced by smaller experiments, which can be rapidly adapted as new improvements are suggested. The workshop presents the con- cepts, tools and techniques in- volved in implementing Kaizen. WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Managers, Supervisors, Team Lead- ers and personnel involved in Proc- ess Improvement.
