This report represents KaBOOM!'s responses to Charting Impact, a joint project of BBB Wise Giving Alliance, GuideStarUSA Inc, and Independent Sector. Charting Impact uses five simple yet powerful questions to encourage strategic thinkingand help organizations share concise information about their plans and progress toward impact.

1. What are we aiming to accomplish?KaBOOM!, Inc. is a national non‑profit dedicated to giving all kids the childhood they deserve, filled with balanced and activeplay so they can thrive.

2. What are our strategies for making this happen?KaBOOM! creates great places to play, inspires communities to promote and support play, and works to drive the nationaldiscussion around the importance of play in fostering healthy lives. KaBOOM! has advanced the cause of play by shifting thenational culture about the importance of play and introducing the concept of Playability — the extent to which a city makes iteasy for all kids to get balanced and active play. KaBOOM! has enabled others to become supporters of the cause of play atpolicy‑making, community‑engagement, and individual levels with programs such as Playful City USA, Map of Play, PlayMore B'More, and our online fundraising.

3. What are our organization's capabilities for doing this?KaBOOM! continues to be a leader in the cause of play mobilizing multi-sector partnerships to put kids first.

4. How will we know if we're making progress?Our progress is determined based on the number of kids we are able to identify that we impact, but also by the extent towhich play becomes a priority for cities and towns, as well as becomes a part of the national conversation.

5. What have and haven't we accomplished so far?We have brought play opportunities to more than 9 million kids, but until we ensure all kids in America have access tobalanced and active play, our mission will not be fulfilled.
