Capability Statement

Partners in your building success

Welcome

Keystone Architects is an experienced, full

service architectural practice based in

Maryborough, Queensland and serving the

Wide Bay and Burnett regions and

beyond. We regularly undertake projects in

Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Childers,

Bundaberg, Gympie, Cooroy, Kingaroy,

Murgon, Gayndah and Mundubbera and have

been as far afield as Agnes Water and

Theodore.

We have been operating here since 1990 and

have established a broad network of fruitful

working relationships with local authorities,

consulting engineers, surveyors, builders,

tradesmen and suppliers- in fact, the full team

necessary to execute any kind of building

project.

We hold all appropriate licences and

insurances and are prequalified to Level 3

with the Queensland State Government. This

means that we can, and do, undertake

projects worth a few thousand dollars up to

projects worth millions of dollars.

What do we do?

We provide traditional architectural services,

working closely with all stakeholders and

authorities to achieve a compliant, cost

effective and operationally complete building

on behalf of our clients.

Our work is undertaken in structured stages,

the extent of our involvement depending on

where in the process we get on board and

how much assistance each of our clients

requires from us.

Our work is delivered electronically using

words and both two dimensional and three

dimensional images to describe how a

particular building outcome is to be achieved.

We work with qualified specialist consultants

such as structural, civil, hydraulic, acoustic

and fire engineers, to name just a few. Our

role is to obtain advice appropriate to each

project and ensure that it fully incorporated

into the design process. At times we even

collaborate with other architects.

“I have been extremely happy with the professionalism of Keystone Architects. We

continue to have a great relationship after 14 years of extensive staged projects on both

my sites”

Our Team Marian Graham B Arch(Hons) FRAIA is the

business founder and principal architect. Her many

years of experience are at the core of our business

systems. She was made a Fellow of the Royal

Australian Institute of Architects in recognition of

her services to architecture and the community.

She enjoys the variety of work that comes with

working in a regional area with every day bringing

new puzzles.

Anita Garton B Arch(Hons) B Fine Arts, architect,

joined the team in 2009. Her background in fine

arts is evident in her design flair and confidence

with colour. Having now brought several large

educational and community projects to completion,

she says she finds dealing with clients and

builders the most rewarding aspect of the work.

Michael Clifford, originally a carpenter and joiner,

is our head technician and go to man for

alterations and additions projects both domestic

and commercial.

Daryl Strawbridge, also a technician, a residential

project specialist from New Zealand, has

expanded his repertoire to include commercial and

education projects.

Brent Zemek is an architectural student in his

second year of studies. He is a mature student

having already obtained qualification as an

electrician.

Jenny Monteith, our office manager, is essentially

our clients' relationship manager, keeping track of

paperwork, approvals and accounts.

Our experience means that we are familiar with the types of problems often encountered by the owners of older buildings. We can calmly assess and advise appropriate solutions.
