John E. McAuliffe is angel for the 7500round-robin tournament for girl pros, July2, 3, 4, 5 at new Shackamaxon CC, West-field, N. J. This new event follows the firstUSGA Women's Open at Rochester, andwill have an invited field of 16 leadingwomen pros. McAuliffe's Triangle Conduitand Cable Co., Shackamaxon and theLadies' PGA are co-sponsors of the tourna-ment.

Proceeds from the tournament will begiven to charities. McAuliffe's companyis putting up the prize money. The com-petition will be played on the same bastsas the Palm Beach annual invitationround-robin, one of the most interestingevents in men pros' competition.

McAuliffe is a veteran golf enthusiast,a member of Baltusrol and Plainfield inNew Jersey and Everglades and Seminolein Florida and other clubs where he hasbeen active in vents as player andtournament official. He is president ofthe Triangle Conduit and Cable Co., Inc.,makers of plastic pipe that is coming intoextensive use for golf course watering.
