“March” ing into Spring with Good Books - Grades 6-12

Join the Harmony Spring Reading Challenge! From Monday, March 2, 2020,

through Friday, May 1, 2020, you may choose to read any book appropriate to

your reading level based on the lists of choices below.

To qualify for Level 1, pick and read 4 books from this list:

❏ Read a book recommended by a friend.

❏ Read a book of historical fiction.

❏ Read a book whose title contains the name of a city or country.

❏ Read a book that was authored by two people.

❏ If you’re female, read a book with a male protagonist. If you’re male, read a book with a female protagonist.

❏ Read a dystopian novel.

❏ Read a book that is the first in a series.

❏ Read a mystery novel.

❏ Read a book where one of the main characters is in law enforcement or the military.

❏ Read a book in verse or collection of poems.

To qualify for Level 2, read 4 books from the list above, plus add two books from this list:

❏ Read the second book in the same series you started reading above.

❏ Read a book based on true events.

❏ Read a biography or autobiography about a person you have something in common with.

❏ Read a book that has been made into a movie.

❏ Read a book set in a place you would like to visit.

❏ Read a book published in 2018 or 2019.

For all the bibliophiles - Level 3, read the required books from Levels 1 and 2, plus add two books from this list.

That’s 8 books total--almost 1 book per week!!!

❏ Read the third book in the same series you started reading above.

❏ Read a book that was written at least 25 years ago.

❏ Read a book set in a foreign country.

❏ Read a book that is over 350 pages.

❏ Read a book by an author who has published at least 5 books.

❏ Read a book with a man vs. nature conflict.
