Dont Despair
I have a true story that Id like to share
With people who feel they are going nowhere.
It tells of a journey Id taken one day
To Puerto Vallarta, down Mexico way.
Id had a relationship over some years
And the break up of that had left me in tears.
So I plucked up the courage and escaped from my strife
And embarked on a journey which would change my whole life.
I hadnt a clue what I searched for
So what would I find on that faraway shore?
Well, I met someone there who turned out to be
That somebody special whod been waiting for me.
The days that we spent had opened my heartBut it wouldnt be long before wed have to part.
And now Ive returned to England once more
While my lover awaits on that far distant shore.
But this story, my friends, has a happy end
Not much longer in England my life will I spend.
Im returning to Mexico later this year
To be together forever with the one I hold dear.
So the moral of this story is: do not despair
Because someone who needs YOU will be waiting somewhere.

Gods GardenGods garden must be beautiful
It comes as no surprise
To see mountains, lakes and oceans
And stars that fill the skies.
Its filled with trees and flowers,
Butterflies, birds and bees.
Its watered by the falling rain
And caressed by the breeze.
Were living in Gods garden
It is our planet Earth.
But most of us dont realize
What this gardens worth.
Created by His loving hands
The rivers and the sea,
The rainbows and the waterfallsAnd all of this is free
The garden now is suffering
And oh, its such a shame
To think that it could be destroyed
And were the ones to blame.
The garden now needs special care
To save it from its fate.
We need to stop destroying it
Before it is too late!

The Land of Make-BelieveOnce upon a fairy tale
A long, long time ago.
There was a land for everyone
A place for us to go.
A land thats filled with magic
A land of milk and honey.
A place thats full of happiness
Where everything is sunny.
Somewhere thats only full of love
No tears, no need to cry.
This land is not so far away
You can get there if you try.
Just close your eyes a little while
Its easy to achieveYour journey to this magic spot
To the land of make-believe.

The Four Seasons
Winter, summer, autumn, spring
Are mother natures ways
Of bringing many changes
In so many different ways.
Winter starts the year
Its frosty, crisp and cold.
The ground is blanketed with snow
Hiding things that will unfold
In spring the ground gets warmer
And plants begin to show
Their tiny heads in search of life
Seeking freedom where to grow.
By summer things have changed a lot
In the country and in townWith flowers of every color
Like jewels within a crown.
When autumn comes its time to say
Goodbye once more to all
The warmth of summer fades away
And the leaves begin to fall.
But every year this happens
And nature has its reasons
For putting on this special show
By giving us these seasons

A Taste of Paradise
In my youth, some years agoTwas when I was a teen
I found myself in a peaceful place
Somewhere Id never been
The sky was blue, the fields so green
And the singing of the birds
Sweet music coming from afar
That I was lost for words
I strolled along the riverbank
Till I reached a bridge of stone
But something stopped me crossing it
A force unseen, unknown
Its not your time and not your place
We do not have your name
To be right here now at this timeReturn from whence you came
Then I awoke quite suddenly
And gave a silent scream
Was this a taste of Paradise
Or only just a dream?

The Gift of LifeTime is just a passing
A passing of the years
Thats sometimes filled with happiness
And sometimes filled with tears
We go through childhood wondering
Of things that are to be
We think of things weve yet to do
And things weve yet to see
And so we grow with each new day
We change in many ways
From children into adult life
Into another phase
Of lifes experience filling us
With knowledge and with pride
Of knowing weve achieved our goalsAnd how we did decide
To do the things we chose to do
In trouble and in strife
To use the gift God gave to us
The given gift of life.

SnowflakesA crystal here and a crystal there
Like glistening diamonds everywhere
They gently fall from way up high
And kiss the ground with just a sigh
So delicate, gentle and so light
Pure in color, whiter than white
Falling gracefully, gently downCovering the ground in an eiderdown
And all the beauty that it takes
Is dust from heaven called snowflakes.

The RiverIn a fissure on the mountainside
And from the ground within
A trickle of water starts to flow
Its journey to begin
It winds its way through countryside
Passing farms and watermills
Its on journey to the sea
Growing bigger as it fills
Each and every crevice
Where once it as a brook
But now its even bigger
Taking on a different look
By the time it reaches tgeh ocean
It has traveled a long, long way
The tiny stream that started thenIs the river we see today.

The BeachLike talcum powder all around
And washed by oceans grandWe find ourselves in another world
An oasis made of sand
Its here we see so many things
The gulls, the crabs and shells
A fishing boat, a starfish
And a variety of smells
Of seafood cooking in a pot
A Punch and Judy show
A myriad of people there
A place they want to go
And when the evening settles in
With the sunset out of reach
Upon the horizon far away
And us upon the beach

The WindWe cannot see or touch it
But its something we hear and feel
Its gentle, strong and violent
And yes, its very real
It hides within the treetops
It whistles through the city
It dances in the fountains
Making them look pretty
Rattling rooftops and blowing clouds
As it moves along its way
Searching for another place
Where it can freely play
But what is this phenomena,
A breeze, a gale? I grinned
Its both of them, came the replyIts what we call the wind!
