newsMISS WORLD MALTA 2014 On the final night all finalists will be contesting for the title of Miss World Malta 2014, organised by Modelle International. The winner will be chosen on Saturday 3rd May at Pjazza Teatru. She will be representing Malta during the final of Miss World being held later on this year in London.
TOp MODeL MALTA 2014Kylie Kelly is the winner of Top Model Malta 2014 held on 9th March at the Shadow Lounge. Kylie will be travelling to London to participate in Top Model Worldwide Search with the aim of being chosen for the London Fashion Week in September 2014. Kylie also won the award of Miss Photogenic sponsored by Bottega Verde. Other Miss Photogenic awards were awarded to Yanika Tabone and Ania Bougoucewska. The award for most likes and shares on Facebook was won by Sabrina Bonello.
The participants modelled in casual and smart wear, and collections by fashion designers Carlos Scerri and Gaetano Busuttil. Attire included cocktail, smart wear and evening wear.
BeAUTY WITH A pURpOSeEach year Modelle International, along with the contestants, dedicate some time to a charitable cause. This year all contestants will be participating in a walk or jog in aid of Puttinu Cares which will be held on 31st March.
WORLD NeXT TOp MODeLOn the 5th of April 2014, Malta will witness an extravagant celebration of

BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSEBeauty with a Purpose is the name of a special annual award programme that singles out and recognises the Miss World contestant who, through charitable works, has made a real difference to people in need in their homeland. Charity work is integral to the Miss World ethos and part of the brief to contenders in each country is that they volunteer their time or fundraise for charity. All of the money raised goes to the nominated cause and the entrants’ records are credited with details of their personal contribution. Their hard work, dedication and above all, results, are what puts them in the running for the Beauty with a Purpose award. Beauty with a Purpose is staged as part of the festivities just prior to the pageant itself and since 2005 the winner has automatically been awarded a place in the Miss World semi-finals.
Each year Modelle International, along with the contestants, dedicates some time to a charitable cause. This year all contestants will be participating in a walk or jog in aid of Puttinu Cares which will be held on Saturday 3rd May.
MISS WORLd MALTA TV PROGRAMAll contestants will have the opportunity to appear in the fashion and beauty TV programme presented by Claudia Calleja and produced by Modelle International. The program will be featured on Net TV, every Tuesday at 10.00pm, as of the 11th April. Contestants are presented during various education features related to fashion and beauty. Each week information is given regarding the whole organization of Miss World and the finals. The programme of activites planned for Miss World 2014 will soon be announced.
Tele-viewers also will get the chance to vote for their favourite contestants by a tele-voting question which will be asked during the programme.
THE FINALISTSFinalists from this year’s contestants were chosen to represent different localities in Malta and Gozo. They will be contesting the Miss World Malta title which is due to be held on 3rd May at Pjazza Teatru.
Sue Rossi and Claudia Calleja, under the organization of Modelle International, will be responsible for organizing this local prestigous event, making sure that the contestants will be well prepared for this big venture which has started since last January.
The winner, after much preperation and participation in events organized by Modelle International and sponsors, will be selected on the final night. A selected panel of judges established in the fashion industry vote for the best girl during the final night. The contestants are interviewed and judged for personality a few days prior to the competition by another panel of judges, however. The few questions they are asked shall be their first test. It is very important that the winner embodies good qualities and has a good standard of education.
