Lagerstätte• Solnhofen, Germany
• Was a coral reef in a warm shallow sea.
• This Lagerstatte was formed by result the sea receding, and the coral drying.
• Sea animals such as horseshoe crabs, Ichthyosaurus, Plesiosaurs, and other water dwelling creatures were found here.
• The environment in Solnhofen, Germany is much like the rest of Europe, with temperatures differing by season.

Archaeopteryx
• Archaeopteryx was the “first bird”.
• Archaeopteryx Is very important because it shows the evolution paths of certain reptiles in this period. It came to be because the species was evolving.
• Archaeopteryx was fairly successful in part to it’s ability to glide short distances, and it’s heightened sense of sight, as well as hearing .

Geography of The Jurassic Period
•In the beginning of the Jurassic period , all of the continents were together to form the one big continent of Pangaea.
•In the late Jurassic, the land between what is now North America , South America and Africa began to break apart, creating the Atlantic Ocean.
