TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS
1. Applications will go live on July 1 (Example: Texas A&M) and on August 1(UT Austin and many other schools).
2. When do you request a transcript? Senior Rank/GPA are uploaded on Sept. 15, 2019. You can request a transcript to be sent in Naviance Student starting on August 1, 2019.
3. A summer rank/GPA will be run at the end of June (will include six semesters of course work). If you want a transcript before August 1, then you will need to go to the grade level office to fill out a form and pay $5.00 for a summer transcript request. Remember, schools usually are not looking at applications until after we get back in August.
4. If you are applying to a school with a common app type of application (Examples: Boston, Duke, NYU, Rice, Trinity, SMU), then you cannot request a transcript until after August 15, 2019. You will have to match your common app to your Naviance Student Account. This is a must!!!

STUDENT BRAG SHEETS: WHAT IS THEIR
PURPOSE?
1. Counselor Brag Sheets
2. Teacher Brag Sheets
3. Parent Brag Sheets
WHERE DO I FIND BRAG SHEETS?
Step 1: Login on to the TWHS webpage and go to the college and career website (https://twhs.conroeisd.net/counseling/counseling/college-career-center/)
Step 2: See the different areas for the brag sheets as well as further directions for the resume.
Step 3: When you are ready to start a brag sheet, select one to open from the website. Copy and past the questions straight into your school Google Document account. Please do this so you do not lose access to your document over the summer break!!!
WHERE DO I FIND BRAG SHEETS?
Step 4: Teachers will accept requests for letters of recommendation from May
1st through May 15th. Your actual letter will still be due on our traditional September 15th deadline for the first round of letters. However, it will give
teachers some advanced warning before school starts. Remember: You must
fill out a google document request online on the college and career website.
Then, take your completed brag sheet to the teacher and make your request
in person!
*** Please only request letters for Common Application schools or other private
application sites. Texas Public Schools such as Texas Tech, UT Austin, Texas
A&M, etc. do not require letters of recommendation.
Examples: Boston, Duke, NYU, Rice, Trinity, SMU
The teacher letter request button will appear below these
four boxes on April 30th. Please fill out the google document
form prior to making your request from your teacher. It is
your responsibility to touch base with the teacher(s) in the fall
semester when you return to campus as a senior.
COLLEGE LISTS: WHERE DO I STORE
THIS INFORMATION?
Colleges I am thinking about (with heart icon) can be found under the Colleges tab and is also a favorite under the main home page.
Goal: Juniors should solidify their list of colleges by the start of their senior year. The average number of colleges on your list should be at least 3 schools. The average is typically 5 to 7 schools.
***Do not put your list under Colleges that I am applying to (has graduation hat)! You will do this as a senior in the fall after orientation with Amy Hollie, the college and career counselor, within the first two weeks of school.
