Junior Camp is Here! Katie, Smith, the Group Leaders, and I are eagerly anticipating your arrival for Junior Camp 2018.  We look forward to greeting our Cabin Staff on Tuesday and our Program Staff on Wednesday. In this brief newsletter, I have included directions to camp, an overview schedule for Cabin Staff on Tuesday, everyone’s arrival times (in order for you to confirm) and other fun information. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions!

Tuesday, May 22: Schedule10:30 AM - 12:30 PM CABIN STAFF arrival: (PLEASE NOTE THE TIME) You will

drive through the Front Gate of camp and meet the Head Staff at the Hostess Cabin for check-in. Once we double check your forms and give you your staff goody bag, a Group Leader will guide you to your parking spot for the session. You will grab your overnight bag (make sure you have a one-piece bathing suit packed!!!) and move in to your temporary cabin!

12:45 PM Lunch: You will hear a bugle welcoming you to the Dining Hall for a nice, homemade lunch!

2:15PM Intro to Camp Meeting: After lunch, we will walk up the hill to White Hall for our first Orientation Meeting. You will continue meeting the rest of the staff and learn about the history of camp and our values. We will then break into smaller groups to play some fun Getting to Know You Games!

4:00PM Camp Tours: Camp is HUGE and the only way to learn where everything is to start walking! This tour will also include an in-depth look into the Health Hut.

6:00PM Dinner: Before dinner we will go over how our Dining Hall is run—you will find it’s a well-oiled machine!

7:30PM Meeting: Our last meeting of the day will be in White Hall. 8:30PM Ice Cream Social: Here at camp, we love Ice Cream! It’s always a great

treat after a nice long day!

W e d n e s day - T h u r s day - F r i day a r r i va l s You will also come to camp through the Front Gate! If you arrive on Wednesday between

10:30am and 12:30pm, you will be greeted by Alli and Smith. We will get you all checked in and tell you where to park your car once you’ve unloaded everything.

If you arrive after at any point after that time, do stop by the Hostess Cabin to get your goody bag, and there will be a note telling you which cabin you’re staying in. Unload your car, park it (also on the note), and hurry to the current Orientation meeting—there’s a schedule inside

your goody bag!

From Asheville or Spartanburg on Interstate 26

From Interstate 26 take Exit #54 (U.S. 25) to Exit #3 (the Green River Road exit). Turn left on Green River Road. Turn left at stop sign onto Highway 225. Go about 1 mile and turn right onto South Lake Summit Road. Go about 300 yards around the bend, turn right onto Apple Hill Lane (there is a Greystone sign and one large stone pillar).
