Ruby Rojas (LT 5), in her first season as Head Coach at Mt. SAC, led the Mounties to an undefeated South Coast Conference Championship (21-0) and was named State Coach of the Year under the CCCAA.

Pull out your Spring 2013 Beach Review, and you’ll come across these photos! It brought back great memories for me and the parallels to the Sport Management Program came to mind. I started at Long Beach State in '69 and rowed collegiately for 4 years and another three as an alum. Reminders of the hard work it took to excel and how quickly me flies, popped into my mind. Similar to what we shared with you when you joined the pro‐gram...compressed learning and the fact that 18 months will fly by!

“MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE RELATIONSHIPS, THE NET‐WORKING, AND THE FRIENDS THAT I MADE OVER THE COURSE OF MY ROWING CAREER HAS COME FULL CIRCLE.”

The old folks are coming back together once a month to tell 'tale's and get back on the water to relive our glory years. I suspect that the same will be for you as your careers take off. You'll lose track of each other and over me, those contacts will be refreshed. I'd offer to you that you don't let the rela onships that you developed while in the program wane. Stay within contact with each other from the beginning and share your experiences real me. It will add greatly to your journey!!! By: Steve Buchan Associate Director CSULB Sport Management
