Dear St. Albert the Great Family,
We celebrate this first Sunday, outside of Easter within ordi-
nary time, which is the solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. Just
three weeks ago Fr. Joshua and I were preaching on the mystery of
the inner life of God and we used a fancy word in Greek,
“Perichoresis”... which translates as “the dance of the heart.” I can-
not help but be reminded of this “dance of the heart“ in our second
reading, from Saint Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, in which he en-
courages everyone to “greet one another with a holy kiss.” This pat-
tern of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in the dance of love, is an
image that we ought to see in the life of the Holy Church.
This notion of a communion of hearts in love is quite a con-
trast to what we are experiencing in our society today, with all of the
outrage and the violent protest around the murder of George Floyd
in Minneapolis. What the world needs from us who are Christian, is
our commitment to defend and protect every human life regardless
of race, creed, or religion and our promotion of the love and mutu-
al respect of human beings that we can show. Our life in the church
is a perfect place for us to give this witness. Our prayers for the
world are the perfect response to injustice, violence, death, and con-
flict – let us pray for world peace, for health, and for a spirit of
hope.
We are now celebrating the second weekend Mass under
our new re-opening guidelines in response to the Covid 19. I cer-
tainly appreciate everyone’s hard work and preparing our church
and everyone’s patience and charity in celebrating under these
strange circumstances. As the weeks go by, we will be increasing the
numbers of Masses, Adoration Chapel hours, and confessions.
Please pray for the brides and grooms who have had to make ad-
justments in their lives, in the midst of all this strangeness in the
world today.
We Are planning to open the adoration chapel for limited
hours (9:30am to 6:30pm) Monday through Friday Beginning Mon-
day, June 8th until further notice. If you desire to come and pray
before the Blessed Sacrament during those hours you are invited to
use the material available to sanitize your chair before you sit down
and again as you are leaving. Your prayers and praise of God will be
greatly appreciated.
It is so good to reunite with old friends and faithful parish-
ioners after this terrible absence. We are praying for all of our pa-
rishioners especially those who have chosen to remain in the safety
of their homes. Let’s be of one heart and one mind and love of our
Lord and in prayer and hope for our world. We continue the live
stream of the holy Mass at 9:00am weekdays, 4:00pm on Saturday,
and 7:30am & 11:30am on Sundays, in addition to our daily live
stream ministry at 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
Peace,

easy to speak but their echoes are
truly endless.”

Confirmation Sponsors
A Confirmation candidate must select a sponsor carefully.
The sponsor chosen must be, according to Church law, a fully
initiated, practicing Catholic, in a valid marriage recognized by
the Catholic Church, and 16 years of age or older. The spon-
sor may not be a parent, since the parent already has a spiritu-
al bond with the child and presents the child for Confirma-
tion. A grandparent, other relative or friend may act as a spon-
sor.
I am a phone call or an email away if you need me. Know that
I am praying for you every day and I want
you to stay safe and stay well.

Choosing a Baptismal
Sponsor
Sponsors for Baptism must be Catho-
lic, have received the Sacraments of
Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation
and themselves actively practice our
Catholic faith. The Code of Canon
Law states, “Only one male or one fe-
male sponsor or one of each sex is to
be employed (at Baptism).” (Canon
873) While parents may choose to
have additional people informally with
the title of “godparent”, the names en-
tered into the baptismal register and
appearing on any certificate have to
conform to the above standards. A
practicing member of one of the Or-
thodox or Protestant churches may be
included in baptism but only together
with a Catholic sponsor. A “Christian
Witness” is a baptized person who be-
longs to a non-Catholic ecclesial com-
munity and together with a Catholic
sponsor serves as witness to baptism.

Preparing for Next Sunday’s Mass Parish LinC Letter June 14, 2020 The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
Read the following Scripture passage paying attention to a word,
phrase, or idea that stands out to you:
Jesus said to the Jewish crowds: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will
live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the
world.”
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us
his flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you
eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life
within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life,
and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my
blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains
in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who
feeds on me will have life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors
who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
John 6:51-58
Step 1
Consider and Discuss these 3 Questions:
Considering your life today....
1. What in this reading comforted you?
2. What in this reading encouraged you?
3. What in this reading challenged you?
For further contemplation....
What conversion of mind, heart, and life is the Lord asking of me?
Step 2
conclude by praying our “Parish Communion Prayer”
O Communion of Love, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, embrace us as your children in this family of faith. Wel-
come us to a place at your table in the wedding feast of heaven. O Father of Mercy, forgive us as we forgive. Rec-
oncile us as one Body in Christ and make us instruments of your Peace. O Spirit of Fire and Light, send us as
your witnesses in daily life. Through our prayer, faith, and good works may we become welcoming doorways, in-
viting others to enter and encounter your Holy Communion of Love.
We make this prayer, Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and through Christ our Lord. Amen
