Track & Trace in Tobacco Supply ChainProcess

1. Serialization: generation and application of UID on tobacco products on

manufacturing lines and on logistic aggregation processes

2. Verification: Control through anti-tampering devices that UIDs are correctly and

consistently integrated into tobacco products

3. Aggregation: Electronic creation of the hierarchical relationship between the

container and its contents allowing the receiver of the product to scan a code and

understand exactly what is in the entire shipment

4. Data Capture: capturing products UIDs by scanning devices and using data

carriers throughout the tobacco supply chain

5. T&T Events generation : Products UIDs supplemented by additional information to

know Who ? Where ? How ? When ?

6. Reporting: of the T&T events to the repository system

7. Storage: of the T&T information in EU / Member States databases and / or Tobacco
