GOODBYE TICKETS

The introduction of two new kiosks in the outpatient registration area is the second phase of a plan to create a more secure MVH. The kiosks replace the traditional “take a number” system with an electronic screen that prompts patients to indicate the reasons for their visits.

CLEANING PATIENT CARE EQUIPMENT

The Infection Prevention Champions Team developed the attached poster to assist hospital staff on the appropriate cleaning cloth/wipe to use on patient care equipment. Each department/unit is accountable for cleaning patient care equipment. Using the appropriate cloth/wipe cleans and disinfects the equipment while preventing deterioration. Cloths/wipes can be ordered through Purchasing; and Environmental Services will supply all soiled/dirty utility rooms with bleach wipes. Please review the poster and order the appropriate cloth. For questions or a laminated copy of the poster, contact Infection Prevention at ext. 1270 or 1219.
