We are limiting both services to 120 in the Sanctuary. At 9:00 we will have a service designed for those who are higher risk. Our second service will be at 10:30 and is open to all. If we have more than 120 in a service we will open up overflow seating in the foyer. During our 10:30 service we will have Kid’s Programming for our Elementary students. Social Distancing • We will be following the guidelines for reopening given by the Governor’s office. • Our Sanctuary will be marked for social distancing by sitting family units 6 feet apart. Please DO NOT change the set up or remove any materials used to mark these areas. • Our Welcome Team will guide you through a contactless experience from the door directly to your worship center seat. At all times we will assist you in maintaining a 6 foot safe distance as you move through the facility. • During this time please refrain from shaking hands, hugging or high fives. • Enter only through our main entrance. Kids will enter through the office doors. • Masks - The first service is designed for those who are more vulnerable, so it makes sense that masks would be worn in that service. Yet, we highly recommend everyone wear a mask no matter what service you attend. General Precautions • Do not attend if you are sick or running a fever. Please check the temperature of each family member before arriving. • High-risk populations should continue to utilize our online services. Remember, there is NO PRESSURE to attend, no one is more or less spiritual. There is no judgment. • Before and after each service, our facilities team will sanitize our worship center, lobbies, restrooms, doors and all common areas. • Bring your own coffee and water bottle. Water Fountains will not be available, but bottled water will be available if needed. • After the service we would like for you to fellowship outside so those who are preparing for the next service will be able to clean. Kids Min • Currently we are not able to offer nursery or preschool. Parents, you are welcome to come to church with your kids. Randi will provide an activity bag for the kids in the service and we will have a preschool room open if you need to step out for a moment. We will continue to send out a preschool lesson online as well. • Elementary will have a separate worship. We ask that you to enter through the office doors to register your kids. Please utilize the church app’s check in option to make this faster. Your Elementary kid is welcome in the sanctuary with you and we will send out an online option for Elementary age as well. • For ease of parents minds, each kid will have their temperature checked and be asked to use hand sanitizer as they head back to their area. • For pick up, walk outside to the office doors and a volunteer will walkie talkie back for your kid to meet you there.

Student News June Programming Update Parents thank you for your patience during the last few weeks in regards to our summer programming! We are in uncharted territories! I will be doing a month by month calendar of events that could possibly change and adapt as government parameters loosen or tighten. For June we’ve included opportunities for both online and in person community. I will send out weekly email reminders that will include any adaptations needed. I fully believe 2020 will be a great summer in the lives of our youth and that God intends for each one to grow in their love, knowledge, faith, and reliance in God. Small Groups Beginning June 9th we will kick off our summer small groups. We will begin June by meeting through zoom. This may change to an in person option as the summer continues, we will keep you posted! All youth will meet at 6:30pm and after a welcome and activity will be split up into high school and middle school groups, so make sure each student who needs one has access to their own device. Moving On Up! Upcoming 6th graders are now welcome and encouraged to attend all youth group activities and functions. Rising 9th graders are now bumped up into our high school programming. SMCC Combines Middle/High School Week - July 19-24 This year we are encouraging all youth group students to attend a combined middle/high school week of camp at Smoky Mountain Christian Camp. This is a brand new week offered at the camp. The goal is to provide a week that a whole youth group can come to instead of random weeks spread throughout the summer. High Schoolers and Middle Schoolers will have separate dorms, small groups, and activities but will eat, worship, and have free time together. Because of Covid restrictions space is very limited. If you are interested sign up at: https://www.smccamp.com/. Randi is helping lead a week at Camp ACC for 4th-6th graders. This is an excellent option for any upcoming 6th grader who would thrive better in a more age specific group. You can sign up at: https://campacc.com/sections/summer/truthquest/.

Missions Moment for June Eugene Shved with Pioneer Bible Translators and Team Expansion

This is one of our newer Missions supported by FCC and another family that is an important part of our local church family. The Lord sent Eugene, Amy and their family to fellowship with us in August 2016 and they have stepped into our local congregational ministry in many ways. As we have gotten to know them and the ministry work they have served in for many years it seemed only natural for us to actively and financially partner in their ministry.   Pioneer Bible Translators (https://pioneerbible.org/about) serves to bridge the gap between the church and the Bibleless peoples around the world. Their team is composed of Bible translators, literacy evangelists, church planters and a variety of support personnel working to see transformed lives through God’s Word in every language. They are serving 43 million people in 92 language projects in 18 countries.

Previously Eugene and his family lived among the Crimean Tatars and worked for 17 years to help translate the whole Bible into their language. This project was completed and published in March 2016.

Currently Eugene is serving as a Translation Consultant for 4 Roma (Gypsy) dialects in the Ukraine and the Inghiloy language in Azerbaijan, also as the exegetical adviser in the Siberian Tatar Bible translation project in Russia. The plan is to also add 2 additional Roma dialects (spoken in Russia, Moldova and Romania) for Bible translation in the near future. He is working alongside these teams by email, Skype and until travel was halted due to Covid-19, an occasional trip to their locations.  Now Eugene is preparing to lead a translation webinar for ten teams working with the Institute for Bible Translation on the book of Habakkuk, which will take place later this month. We will continue to seek ways to encourage them in this work and watch for how God wants to use us in this ministry partnership.
