“I attended a totally brilliant HSE Session in the month ofJune. Not only has the session improved my conceptsabout HSE, but I also learnt that how HSE can save lives andcost. Moreover, HSE can be majorly helpful in bringing newbusinesses on board. I have been able to utilize the skillsand tips I learnt, with impeccable results almostimmediately. External trainers were very knowledgeableand experienced.

ESSENTIALS OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH To help enhance the knowledge required for occupationalhealth & safety, AM - Security from Admin team requestedfor the two-day external training session. The focus of thesession was that there is more to occupational health andsafety than accident prevention, as it recognizes a numberof occupational hazards and some of the types of workassociated with those hazards.

NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATIONAn orientation program is an ongoing process, allowing an employee the timeto assimilate all the required information & help new joiners adapt faster totheir jobs. Two separate orientation sessions were held at the Head Office inthe month of June, one for new joiners & the other session was scheduled forthe newly joined Management & Graduate Trainees.

LEARNING NEED ASSESSMENT Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) is the process in which CLD identifies training & developmentneeds of employees. The root of LNA is gap analysis, for which Areeba Ali held sessions withHODs and employees separately as it involves a complete analysis of training needs requiredat various levels of the organization. This is an assessment of the gap between currentperformance vs desired performance, addressing which will help employees meet theorganizational objectives. Post identification of gaps, CLD is currently working on the learningcalendar for FY 18-19 which will be shared soon with all ADP employees.

CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE – HALL OF FAME -

The project of ‘Hall of Fame” was made live in KLIM, by the efforts of Imran Afzal (Branch Manager-Islamabad ) Maham Rashid Bajwa (Regional HR Executive –Islamabad ) and Farhan Zahid (Branch Manager Trainee) .

In the initial stages, the project is launched for CBD and CS&L in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan; however, the aim is to incorporate more functions and make it operational at more branches in the future.

The spirit of this initiative is to recognize and acknowledge efforts of fellow team members who deliver exceptional performance on a monthly basis. Pictures of outshining employees were displayed on ‘Hall of Fame’ to bring them into the limelight and foster healthy competition amongst team members. The same is also being replicated for Loaders who work tirelessly every day to ensure operations are carried out efficiently.
