PearlandVotes.com - PearlandVotes.com has been up and running for nearly 60 days. The Governmental Relations Team and staff are excited with the results of our initiatives presented through PearlandVotes.com:

- Over 1,000 views of the questionnaires and videos for local candidates - 1,100 letters sent in support of the University of Houston-Clear Lake’s downward expansion - Garnered the second largest amount of letters in support of funding for roads in Pearland- Allowed members a voice to City Council asking for changes to the Electronic Sign Ordinance

sWaT - Several members approached the Chamber of Commerce regarding the Electronic Sign Ordinance and asked for help facilitating a discussion with the City of Pearland. Opening the line of communication between business and the City allowed for the possibility of change. Business owners now have made presentations to Planning and Zoning, City Council and the proposed updates to the Unified Development Code are scheduled for public hearings during upcoming City Council meetings.

Pearland Purchase Power - An initiative spearheaded by the Commerce Development Team to promote spending dollars in Pearland from one end to the other. Pearland Purchase Power is essentially an educational program to teach our citizens the value their dollar has if spent within the city.

HOWDY! Megan Victorick is the Business Development Coordinator for JSC Federal Credit Union in the Northern Region which includes Pearland, TX. Megan has lived in many different cities in the Houston and east Texas area but has called Deer Park, TX home since 4th grade. She has a total of 6 sisters; 1 biological sister (25 yrs old), 2 step sisters on her mom’s side of the family (17 yrs old & 16 yrs old) and 3 step sisters on

her dad’s side of the family (25 yrs old, 19 yrs old and 16 yrs old). She will be getting married on October 12, 2013 to her high school sweetheart, Chase Cathey.

Megan enjoys shopping with her mom and golfing with her dad. During the spring/summer time you can catch her out at Lake Livingston getting a tan and having a good time at her lake house. Once fall/winter comes around she ends up spending a lot of time out in Boerne, TX where her fiancé’s deer lease is. She actually shot her first axis buck this year.

Megan is a graduate from Texas A&M University – College Station and has degree in Agricultural Leadership Education and Development. As the loudest and proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggies class of 2012, she is driven to excel in whatever she pursues due to her involvement in keeping the Aggie family and traditions alive! Megan has worked as an intern for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Rodeo Austin and JSC Federal Credit Union which is where she resides now as a Business Development Coordinator.

Megan works with businesses in the Pearland community to offer their employees the FREE benefit of utilizing JSC Federal Credit Union. This benefit to the employees of a business comes from having a Community Business Partnership with JSC Federal Credit Union. She can also host seminars, breakfasts and luncheons for employees all through this Community Business Partnership that is completely FREE.
