I believe the solution isvery simple and re-quires no fancy ChurchGrowth seminars, Noexpensive books or elaborate programs. What it will require is aparadigm shift and achange in our focus. Areformation of our thinking.

It is vital for us to real-ize that only when wereturn to New Testa-ment Patterns, Princi-ples and Priorities willwe final achieve NewTestament Power.

We couldn’t possiblyexplore all that this en-tails, but I do want toshare seven provenprinciples that will help

your Church or SmallGroup/House Churchbecome more effective, while at the same timeensuring your growthnumbers and spiritualmaturity.

Continued nextmonth!

Seven Apostolic

Principles for Growth

I don’t claim to be anexpert in this field byany means. You willfind no fantastic sto-ries; no new revela-tions. What I hope youwill find are some freshinsights or perhaps anidea here and therethat you will find help-ful. It is time for all of us to begin to think interms of growth; of our Churches and Minis-tries as well as the Or-ganization itself.

When it comes to thestudy of Church growthand the dynamics of

small group ministry, you will find that mostof the literature comesfrom trinitariansources. This meansthat there is a limitationon what you can learnfrom these sources asa natural and logical

consequence of their belief system.

It has been document-ed that charismatic andtrinitarian Pentecostalshave a low percentageof members who havereceived the HolyGhost. The Assembliesof God—both in them-selves, report around

30% or less.

The question then be-comes “How do wegrow our Church or Small Group, andavoid the pitfalls alongthe way?” We want tosee people saved, filled with the Spirit andwalking in freedom. For that we need some-thing. We need power

and according to Acts1:8, we have it. So howdo we use it effectivelyito reach our communi-ties? Church as usual“Ain’t makin’ it,” as wesay in Texas.

We desire not only

to see believers

live victoriously,

but to help them

become rooted and grounded

enough in God’s

Word to reach out

and teach others

these same

 principles

Who We Are

The First Church of Jesus Christ brings a complete Biblical message of the New Covenant way of life, as originally intended by our Lord, to Hispeople.

While the benefits of Jesus' life, death and resurrection are available toall, FCJC is specifically looking for those who are not satisfied with the"status quo". We unashamedly bring a revolutionary message to the

Body of Christ and the world.

We believe that God is looking for a few serious, committed, and soldout people through whom He can show Himself strong. We believe thatGod has provided a total Gospel with a total healing for the total man:spirit, soul, and body.

We believe that Jesus offered no excuse for believing what Hepreached, and neither do we. We offer help and healing to anyone, any-time, for anything. We are thankful to Jesus for commissioning us topreach "a Gospel that works".

The sick are healed, the dead are raised, the good news is preached tothe poor (not just the rich). Our mission is to eradicate sin, sickness, andunnecessary suffering through the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

We are planting churches and ministries around the world. If you arelooking for a ministry to connect with that is doing something, this mightbe the one for you. If you are ready to manifest His presence rather than

just soak in it, FCJC is an effective way to make a difference in the realworld.

We believe that Christians should live consecrated lives of obedience tothe Word of God. We are for holiness, health, and charity. We areagainst sin, sickness, and a weak powerless gospel that blames the sickand hurting for being sick and hurt-ing.

If you are weak, we will be strong for you. If you are strong in the Lordand in the power of His might, come help us help others. .Organizational Officers
