INDUCTION NIGHT

Induction night at the club saw a new member welcomed into our pride of Lions. It started on a lighter side as Lion Jean Long tried to “In Duck” Donna Konen, but Lion Linda straight-ened out the frivolous attitude and proceeded with Donnas' induction into the Lewiston Li-ons Club.

First PDG Lion Jim Baylor gave a short talk about the Li-ons and Lionism, which was followed another short speech from PDG Lion Jim Luper about the Lewiston Lions Club in particular. After Lion Linda O’Dowd helped Lion Donna on with her vest, she was again welcomed into the club and pre-sented her membership certificate.

This was fol-lowed by Lion Linda p re sen t i n g Lion Jeanne Laws with a certificate for be ing a sponsor.

President Lion Linda wel-coming new member Donna to our club

Visiting the Doctor

An Irish woman of advanced age visited her physician to ask his advice on reviving her husband's libido. . 'What about trying Viagra?” asked the doctor. . 'Not a chance', she said. 'He won't even take an aspirin.' 'Not a problem,' replied the doctor. 'Give him an 'Irish Via-gra'...it's when you drop the Viagra tablet into his coffee. He won't even taste it. Give it a try and call me in a week to let me know how things went..' . It wasn't a week later when she called the doctor, who directly inquired as to her progress. . The poor dear exclaimed, 'Oh, faith, bejaysus and begor-rah! T'was horrid! Just terrible, doctor!' . 'Really? What happened?' asked the doctor. . 'Well, I did as you advised and slipped it in his coffee and the effect was almost immediate. He jumped straight up, with a twinkle in his eye and with his pants a-bulging fiercely! With one swoop of his arm, he sent me cups and tablecloth flying, ripped me clothes to tatters and took me then and there passionately on the tabletop! It was a nightmare, I tell you, an absolute nightmare!' . 'Why so terrible?' asked the doctor, 'Do you mean the sex your husband provided wasn't good?' . 'Freakin' jaysus, 'twas the best sex I've had in 25 years! But sure as I'm sittin' here, I'll never be able to show me face in Starbucks again!'

THIS MONTHS

WORDS OF WISDOM!

Some people are only alive because it is illegal

to shoot them.

. LIFE, NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

A little silver-haired lady calls her neighbor and says, "Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jig-saw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get started." . Her neighbor asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?" . The little silver headed lady says, "According to the pic-ture on the box, it's a rooster." . Her neighbor decides to go over and help with the puzzle. . She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table. . He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says, . "First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a rooster." . He takes her hand and says, "Secondly, I want you to re-lax. Let's have a nice cup of tea, and then," he said with a deep sigh ............

"Let's put all the Corn Flakes back in the box." . Life has now been explained to you. . There is no need to thank me for this valuable infor-mation. I'm doing it as a public service.

GET OUT OF THE CAR

(this is supposedly a true account recorded in the Police Log of Sarasota, Florida)

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle.

She dropped her shopping bags and drew her hand-gun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs, “I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!”

The four men didn’t wait for a second threat. They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, some what shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the gar and got into the driver’s seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then she realized why. It was for the same reason she had wondered why there was a football, a Frisbee and two 12-packs of beer in the front seat.

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake.

The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn’t stop laughing.

He pointed to the end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, eld-erly women described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun.

No charges were filed.

Moral of the story? If you’re going to have a senior

moment…..make it memorable.
