Join Our Women’s Book Group “Readers” is a new book group for women of Our Lady of the Mountains parish. Our first book is The Moviegoer, by Walker Percy. Musical Notes Today we celebrate Father’s Day as well as return to Ordinary Time on the liturgical calendar with Trinity Sunday. The Sundays of Ordinary Time are not ordinary at all, but a time to come together in worship and music to reflect on our Lord, His grace and His role in our daily lives. Today’s music is drawn from the Trinity section of the blue Gather hymnal to capture the mystery of the Holy Trinity.

The service opens with hymn #566 “O God, Almighty Father”, celebrating the wonder of God’s universe. The Responsorial Psalm is #1088 “O Lord, Our God”. This is followed by the Celtic Gospel Acclamation #334. The Preparation hymn is a late 18th century text “Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty” (#567), while “How Great Thou Art” (#578), the Communion hymn calls us to “sing [our] soul…” lauding God’s greatness. The service closes with #677, “Faith of Our Fathers”.

The Ordinary parts of the Mass are from the Mass of Creation, starting on page 198.

During the summer months, the choir is more informal and only meets 45 minutes prior to Mass to rehearse. If you would like to participate in the liturgy through music, please join us! The next time the choir meets is the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 30th since Ron Fabry, OLM Music Director, is on vacation. Please feel free to reach out to any choir member for more information.

We are looking for a customer care/administrative associate. This critical position is commonly the key contact for Our Lady of the Mountains. The role welcomes all to our parish and assists with needs and inquiries.

Those needs include sacramental rites, faith formation, events and activities, Mass intentions, membership information, and communication.

Skills required are excellent communication (verbal and written), computer literate, multi-tasker, love of Catholic faith, willingness to help where and when needed. Bi-lingual preferred.

Living & Giving in Christ: Unity through Diocesan Ministries The annual diocesan appeal is an opportunity for us to be good stewards of God’s gifts as we share with other Catholics our treasure and our blessing.
