Dear Friends, Thank you for welcoming Joe Bass into the parish. He is a fine addition to the community. Joe is offering an 8 week DVD assisted series on Catholicism which may appeal to many of you. It’s held every Monday evening in the Library 6:30-8:30pm. Next weekend is the Directed Prayer retreat, where we will have trained spiritual directors available to offer an evening and day directed retreat. Please call the office to register or go to [email protected]. Last week the parish staff spent two days planning for the coming year. It’s our annual exercise to review what has happened during the year, learn from our mistakes and celebrate our successes together. The Christ Renews His Parish Men’s Retreat team has been working weekly on preparations for the Men’s retreat in August. Please pray for the fruitfulness of this good work. Did you know that we have teamed with the Church of the Holy Spirit to create a Community Garden on S. Harrell’s Ferry? I went by the garden last week and saw the results thus far. Should be a good crop! Thanks to those of you who took part in the annual Habitat for Humanity Catholic Build. Lots of workers did good work with a Habitat family. Hope you are having a good week. Love,

We extend our sympathy to the following parishioner who recently lost a loved one:

Lisa Raynal on the death of her father, Bernard Blanchard.

ST JEAN VIANNEY CAPITAL CAMPAIGN “Our Time to Pray, Our Time to Give”

A MATCHING GIFT There are parishioners who work for businesses which will sometimes MATCH a charitable donation to a Church or School. Is your employer one of those people? If so, your gift to the Capital Campaign could be matched. Sometimes, the employer will match a gift to a SCHOOL but not a CHURCH. Regardless of the case, we can help you find out if your employer will match your gift. Talk to Fr. Tom or Debbie Daigle at the parish office, 753.7950 so we can help you help us.

ADORATION “NOT JUST ANOTHER MEETING”

All are invited on Tuesdays to continue their worship and love of God at adoration. It is a visit, not a meeting. A visit of ‘love to love’. Bring whatever is in your heart and soul and leave it at the feet of the Lord for HE will be at yours. “Adoration for the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth”. -Mother Theresa Join us every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm for Eucharistic Adoration. Taking special time with our Lord is a great way to grow closer to Him.

PARISH OFFICE SUMMER HOURS Beginning May 27th, 2014 the Parish Office hours will be Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm. We are closed from 12 noon until 1:00pm for lunch.

Try the Choir for the Summer Ever thought about joining the choir? Summer is a great time to try us out. No pressure to learn the fancy stuff for Christmas, just come sing! We meet in the parish office at 9:00am before the 9:30am Sun-day Mass. Summer rehearsals will be held June 4, June 25, and July 23 at 7:30pm in the Church.
