SIGN-UP NOW FOR HOPE'SGOLF TOURNAMENT!!The Rege Harbison, Sr. Memorial Golf

Tournament will be on Saturday, August 21,2010, at the Strawberry Ridge Golf Course in Harmony, PA.

Space is limited, so see the attached registrationform or go to www.hopelutherancranberry.org forall of the details.

Young Adults This is for you!

Finally we have plans for a ministry that focuses on yourage group. Teaming with the Lutheran congregations of St. Johns,in Mars and Hope, in Cranberry, we want toannounce our beginning efforts to get people together forfellowship, fun and to develop a purpose. More nearbyLutheran congregations are being contacted and we hopethey will join us.

Who is the we above? Pastor Mark Bringman of St.John, Mars presented the need to Pastor Ron Brown

(Hope, Cranberry) and Pastor Dave about what we coulddo together for young adult ministry.

What is a Young Adult? Well, if you have to ask, youre too old. (Just kidding!) Were aiming from High School graduates to early thirties. If youthink youd fit, join us. Pastor Dave is 51 and thinks he fits in! We are not dividing into single/married - or -have children/or not or - any other filter. You awelcome and encouraged to bring friends of otherchurches or those without church affiliation.

Why a Young Adult Ministry? Because we three pastors have been asked over 100 times, whatspecifically for this age group in our ministry?came up empty 99 times, until now. Many of ourchurches have ignored the gifts and needs of this groupand we are making a specific effort to reach out tothem and to have them reach out, too.

On June 20, 2010 a visit to the La Casa NarcisiWinery near Gibsonia will be our kick-off event. Thatday, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., a group calleGuys Duo will be playing classic rock music awinery. (Checking out new wine is exactly what Jesuscalled his new disciples to do.) So, for a new group toform, gathering around new wine seemed appropriate. The day will go something like this:

2:00 p.m. Gather at St. Johns in Ma 2:15 p.m. Leave for winery; carpooling

as needed2:30 p.m. Enjoy the music and get to

know each other a bit???? We will let the group decide the

length of stay; r eturn to St.Johns and have a quick Bstudy; make some plans

Other events may include: Pirates Games Saturday, August 7 th (fireworks and George Thorogood band)Saturday, July 24 th (fireworks and Steve Miller band)Saturday July 17 th (fireworks)

So, you dont really like wineries or Pirate games? How about you just come and mix in and suggest other

options. We pastors dont have the answers, bwant to provide the support and a catalyst to get thingsgoing.

Do you know what other church Young Adultministries are doing? Let us know and well talknew and better ideas.

For the event on June 20, 2010, please call the churchoffice 724.776.3141 or sign up on the web:www.hopelutherancranberry.org .
